Le Cochon Dingue is described as a bright, spacious, and stylish spot with a playful pig decor that keeps the atmosphere lively yet welcoming for families and theatre goers alike. The service is repeatedly praised for being friendly, attentive, and efficient, even with large groups, though a few visits report slower service during peak times and occasional delays for drinks or courses. The menu receives broad praise for variety and value, with generous portions across brunch, burgers, poutines, pork dishes, and other comfort options, and many reviewers feel the prices offer good value for what is served. Brunch is especially well regarded, with several dishes highlighted as flavorful and satisfying and the overall experience often described as a solid first choice for a pre show or a casual meal. Some critiques mention inconsistencies such as certain dishes being overdone, underseasoned, or not hot enough, and a handful note missteps during dinner service or on off nights. Overall, Le Cochon Dingue tends to emerge as a dependable, crowd pleasing option in Montreal, particularly for breakfast and brunch, with a memorable ambiance and strong service, while dinner experiences can vary and may benefit from kitchen consistency.

J y retournerais soon
C'est la 2e fois que j'y vais pour un brunch. Bonne bouffe, bon rapport qualité-prix, beau décor, spacieux - on ne s'y sent pas coincés - & excellent service.
Stylish & comfortable restaurant with phenomenal food at reasonable prices. We came for brunch & everything - our drinks (latte, americano, hot chocolate) & main courses (including sweet & savoury options) were all delicious. Service was also noteworthy & we felt welcomed with our young children (who loved the little smoothie shots that preceded the meal)!
Service & atmosphere was nice but the food was mediocre & the price was inflated. For $27 you can get the brunch plate which for protein comes with bacon, ham, & sausage. You only get one small piece of each protein. I asked the server if I could get more bacon rather than the ham when initially making my order. The kitchen just didn't give me the ham & did not provide the additional bacon. I asked the server if this was a mistake & she was kind enough to check with the kitchen in which they confirmed the outcome was expected. Very poor response to hear when paying $27 for a brunch plate.
Brunch elevated: silky poached eggs nestled on smoked beef, kissed with Swiss cheese & a tangy pickle-brine mustard, then draped in a velvety hollandaise. Paired with golden potatoes tossed with sweet onions, rustic toast, & a touch of homemade apple butter, a comforting plate where indulgence meets refinement. #montreal
A great spot for dinner before going to a show, it's a beautiful dining room, the service is great, the variety & quality of the food is really good for the price point especially for the area. They're specialty is brunch, so I'll have to go back earlier in the day to try it out!
