The food overall was great ! But the dessert that we chose was not what we expected, it was disappointing.
We took the'Nougat glacé' which is completely different from what you would get in France... the version we received was a melted nougat.. with jelly apricot, nuts, & prune in jelly & kumquat. It felt more like an ice cream than anything that I saw online. & then the'Gâteau Yaourt' was pitiful, I mean 2 tiny cubes of yaourt ? With 3 small spheres of poached rhubarb? I understand it's all about the presentation & how it you showcase the dessert , but that was sad for a dessert... I'm sorry to say this, but it needs to be improved. If it's written'cake' I'm expecting a decent slice that you'd would receive if you ordered a chocolate mousse cake.
I'm giving you guys a 3 stars for food, because the rest was amazing, but the dessert is the final judgement in my rating.
Food was delicious with a great combination of flavors. The desserts were just average, & the service could have been much bette
Firmly on track to be one Montreal's next Michelin Stars, the staff & the food combined for an amazing experience. An innovative tuna tartare on a bed of pasta was elite. Among my favorite dishes ever. I followed that with the risotto which is very rich but an excellent dish. Dessert was 10/10 as well. Real conversations throughout the night w our servers & multiple small-world moments. Prices are super reasonable. Make a weekend reservation 2 weeks in advance.
Very nice place for dining. Food has small portions but amazing quality. The way that our waiter described foods & process of their preparation, was so amazing that made us even more hungry. I would say there was a very load group of people eating, drinking, shouting, & clapping during the dinner that was not pleasant.
We ordered followings for 2;
-Braised piglet risotto, foie gras shavings
-Linguine with raw tuna, spicy sauce & soy sauce(Today's spiciality)
-Grilled duck magret, farro, cherries, smoked duck crumble
-Beef striploin, potato purée, girolles, spinach, béarnaise, marrow sauce
-Chocolate sphere, Earl Grey cream, caramel sauce
-Maple éclair, crème fraîche, walnuts, popcorn ice cream
They divided every dish onto two plates & served one to each of us.
The server told us 1 appetizer & 1 main are usually enough for 1 person.
We picked 2 appetizers, 2 mains & 2 desserts. It was good amount. It cost about $360 after tax & tips.
Everything was perfect. Especially we liked the linguine & the risotto.
I had an unforgettable dinner at Le Club Chasse & Pêche in Montreal with my wife, & it was fine dining at its absolute best. The ambiance is refined & intimate, with elegant decor that sets the tone for a special evening. Every dish was beautifully crafted & full of rich, layered flavors, & the wine pairings were spot-on. Yes, it's on the pricier side, but the experience-from the impeccable service to the exquisite food-makes it entirely worth it.
What an amazing place. Extremely attentive servers. Food was beyond delicious. Warm atmosphere.
Wanted so badly to give this place 5 stars, but like other reviewers have noted, if you don't purchase a lot of alcohol the service just trails off. Our waiter didn't come back after we ordered our entrees. Other staff members noticed & jumped in to try to make up for it. When our meal was done & we were more than ready to go after sitting at our table for quite awhile with nothing but our water glasses, we had to ask a staff member to bring us our bill.
Food was delicious, & atmosphere was cozy, but they didn't dazzle like I thought they would. Was expecting higher acid, heat, sweetness, & herb combinations, & a more romantic vibe.
All in all, it was kind of a bummer experience given how much we were looking forward to this place. I really was expecting for the price & hype a 5 star experience.
Our favorite restaurant in Montreal!
We ordered the braised piglet risotto, pork belly, halibut, chocolate sphere, & maple éclair. Everything was delicious, but the maple éclair & the popcorn ice cream were absolutely incredible!
The service was also perfect. We only wanted a glass of wine each to go with our main course, & our server was very helpful in guiding us through the options.
This place is ideal for celebrating any occasion-big or small. We highly recommend it!
Food was absolutely delicious. Our waiter, Gabriel, was knowledgeable & very personable.
Le Club Chasse & Peche delivered an absolutely outstanding dining experience that exceeded all expectations. The service was truly professional & attentive. Our server had exceptional knowledge of the menu, providing detailed descriptions & thoughtful recommendations. Every dish showcased the restaurant's commitment to using the freshest ingredients, attention to details in both flavor & presentation was remarkable. This dinner truly was a special teat & a highlight of our stay in Montreal! I highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you are looking to create lasting memories & set the standard for fine dining excellence. We will certainly return here on our next visit!

I'm giving this restaurant a 3-star review not great, not terrible, just firmly mediocre.
1. Food:
For a place positioned as fine dining, the food was underwhelming. Not a single dish stood out or felt memorable. In Michelin-worthy spots, there's usually a signature element. something that lingers in your memory. Here, nothing quite hit that mark. Giving the food a 2/5, as there's plenty of room to grow.
2. Service:
Our waiter truly elevated the experience. He was warm, attentive, & incredibly patient,a standout presence in an otherwise average evening. A clear asset to the team, & someone management should absolutely retain & reward. Full marks: 5/5.
3. Atmosphere:
The setting aims for dark, moody, & romantic. Unfortunately, the illusion breaks with exposed, dangling wires overhead. It feels like the final layer of polish on the decor was left unfinished.
For the price point, I expected a more cohesive & elevated experience. Sadly, that expectation faded as soon as the food hit the table.
