Review Summary

Reviews of La Savoie describe an indulgent, interactive fondue and raclette experience with options like a cheese wheel melted at the table, broths for dipping, and meats grilled to order; portions are generous and ingredients fresh, though the cheese heavy menu can be calorie dense and pricey for some. The atmosphere is consistently described as cozy, rustic, and family friendly, making it a popular after ski or group dining spot with a charming ambiance and holiday decor. Service is frequently praised as friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, contributing to high overall satisfaction, though a few notes mention occasional service gaps during peak times and questions about value for the price. The dining experience is viewed as unique and memorable, with strong wine pairings and a sense of tradition that many would recommend as a Tremblant staple, while some caution that the high cost and heavy dishes may not suit every budget or appetite.

Very nice restaurant. The staff is super friendly & the food was of high quality. The cheese was sooooo good. The meats were great too & we loved the option to cook it ourselfs. Highly recommend to book weeks in advance as it tends to get busy. We had a group price of 80$ plus tax & tip per person & we had plenty of food to make it worth it.

La Savoie was, without exaggeration, the most disappointing dining experience I have ever had.

Located in the Tremblant village, La Savoie is usually fully booked on the weekend in peak seasons, so I waited a year for my next ski trip with my ski club to make a reservation for this restaurant. I am a cheese-a-holic & really wanted to try this fondue/raclette restaurant. The overall Google rating was positive.

I looked up the menu online but was slightly confused. As clarified by our waiter, for a party of 2, you only have 6 options & each one costs around $75 per person. Based on our server's recommendation, we ordered the raclette. It was a big mistake.

For $75 per person, all you receive with the raclette option is'unlimited' cheap quality sliced baguette, boiled flavourless potatoes, an ordinary & extremely plain green leaf salad with too much dressing, & a wheel of raclette cheese that was so salty & rich that I could barely eat more than a few bites (& whatever raclette is not eaten gets used again by the restaurant for another dining party). You also get a small plate of a few blanched vegetables & a few pieces of deli meats that were nothing special (& were not'unlimited'). I have eaten raclette cheese before which I found delicious but the one served at this restaurant caused my stomach to hurt tremendously after eating a few bites. Despite the pleasant service staff & cozy restaurant interior, I was so turned off by the food that I had a truly miserable experience.

Worse, I felt robbed by this restaurant. I cannot believe they charge $75 per person for what is essentially $10-20 worth of food. I have been to extremely expensive restaurants & paid exorbitant rates, but at least I felt I got a tasty & beautifully plated meal with elegant service/atmosphere. At La Savoie, I felt as if I was eating just some cheap appetizers put together with little thought.

If you are a party of 12 or more, at least you can get a 3 course dinner for $75 per person which would include a raclette appetizer, fondue or pierrade dinner, & chocolate fondue & coffee/tea for dessert - that sounds like a more reasonable deal. But how can this restaurant justify charging the same price per person if you come with just one other person & you only can get 1 item?

La Savoie - you really need to rethink your menu & start offering the 3 course meal option to any size party. Or be fair & reduce your rates for the 6 options offered to smaller party sizes. Even though I didn't enjoy the food, at least I wouldn't feel so upset if the rates were reasonable.

Fun quality food that you cook table side. 11 year old son loved it as well. Great wine list too.

Waited for 40 mins to start eating. Fondue was ok but too watery. A lot of potatoes for 2 people. Bread could be better. Portions could be 2 times smaller but better quality for the price.

Fantastic traditional fondue in a warm, super cozy restaurant! We had five of us for Christmas dinner & wanted it all so we got two orders of cheese fondue, three orders of beef fondue, the raclette appetizer, &, for dessert, the chocolate fondue with fruit. Accompanied by a nice green salad (just lettuce & a great dressing...no need to complicate things, since there is so much more coming), dry meats & cornichons, & an extra order of fried potatoes & rice (which we didn't really need, but hey, go big or go home!). What a feast! I've had the real thing many times in Switzerland & France & this was equally good. High quality Emmentaler & Gruyere cheese, with wine/kirsch to taste. Super lean & plentiful beef. All washed down with a couple of bottles of really nice white wine (La Derniere Goute). Oh, & a nice warm Irish Coffee to end the evening! With their seatings, everyone comes in at once & we had to wait a bit for the waitress (who happened to be the owner!), but once we ordered, the food started coming promptly. Not cheap, (what is these days?) but well worth it. Be sure to reserve well ahead of time as it is very popular.

Such a wonderful culinary spot to eat at in the Tremblant village. The staff is very welcoming, & the food is extremely good. The fondue concept is literally amazing, & the quality of the food is always up to standards! Totally recommend
