I saw the Ladyfinger dessert on Google & it looked so good that I rushed there before heading home. I arrived right near closing time & felt bad once I realized they had to be freshly prepared.
However, the owner was welcoming & didn't make a fuss at all. We chatted while he prepared the food & had a great laugh. The desserts were delicious.

The guy is seriously weird, I was paying & curious to find out about the food they sell, meaning opportunity for him to make more business, but as I asked what is a sacoche sandwich, instead of explaining like a normal human being, he just started laughing at me like I am dumb for asking. I am curious to know what you are selling, & your reaction is to MOCK ME? what the hell is wrong with you dude? If anything, he is the DUMB one for not realizing I was inquiring about ingredients, which is what normal people do when they are deciding if buying some food they never tried before is worth it. Nope. He just downright made fun of me, did not even answer my questions properly, I never got to know what the hell is inside their sandwich. Way to go buddy. I was so suprised I wondered if he was high or just plain deranged. the kind of weirdo who thinks a customer is an opportunity to take out all of his life's frustrations. So you'd rather make fun of people than get them to liek your place & actually want to come back? Great business acumen & manners, keep at it & see if that shop will succeed! I had no idea it was a crime to ask questions! Mock all you want, you're the one losing business & tarnishing your reputation
Whether you are celiac or not, this place is more than excellent! Their purse sandwich is so good & with so many options to choose from. It's a nice feeling to be able to eat something so good without having to worry. We also had the chocolate chip cookies & they are also amazing. Impossible to distinguish them from the regular ones. 😋
To top it all, we had a nice chat with Gordie, such a nice person! We will come back for sure!

Le meilleur sandwich sans gluten à Montréal. This is, hands down, the best gluten free sandwich I've ever had. Un must! La cuisine montréalaise a son meilleur! À faire & refaire!
J'ai de la misère à croire que ça fait deux ans qu'ils sont ouverts & que je viens tout juste de tomber dessus!
Je cherchais quelque chose de rapide & pas trop cher à manger, & je suis tombée sur l'endroit par hasard. Honnêtement, trouver un snack sans gluten qui est à la fois aussi bon & abordable, c'est assez rare.
J'ai pris la pizza style calzone & ça goûtait la bonne pizza croûte mince authentique & ce pour 6$, ça vaut vraiment la peine.
Le proprio m'a dit qu'il a ouvert l'espace pour offrir des produits de qualité à petits prix, étant lui-même coeliaque & ça se ressent vraiment dans ce qu'il propose.
D'ailleurs c'est aussi une épicerie de produits sans gluten & j'ai beaucoup aimé la qualité sélection.
Une perle pour la communauté sans gluten & coeliaque à Montréal. Je vais y retourner c'est certain!
Gordy (the owner) is awesome! He answered all of my questions enthusiastically & gave amazing recommendations. The cookie & brio aranciata soda were delicious. Gordy was a chef for 30 years & clearly puts a lot of thought & effort into the food he makes, as well as his store, his hospitality. I can't wait to go back & try the sandwiches. Everything is very affordable & also good quality which makes the store a true hidden gem.

What a treat! The hot purse sandwiches were fresh, cheesy & delicious, & the chocolate chip cookies were yummy! The food is gluten-free, yet you don't feel that you are compromising on taste or texture. The owner is passionate about his products, & very pleasant to chat with. We will certainly be back.
stumbled upon this place by accident & had both a lovely gluten free sandwich & a lovely conversation with gordy. as a celiac, i could not be more trustful of this place. will be back next time i'm in montreal! :)
My only regret is I don't live close by because I would go twice a week. As a celiac's, this place is a true blessing, you can have a meal under 10$ !!!!!!!!! Never seen before, especially in this borough. Owner is cool 😎

The food is incredible. Every bite tastes intentional & full of care. The cookies deserve their own review. Soft, rich, & genuinely some of the best gluten free cookies I have ever had (& I take cookies seriously)
What really sets this place apart is the owner. He is so kind, welcoming, & clearly passionate about what he does. You can feel it the moment you walk in, & it shows in the quality of the food.
The only downside is that he did not pack up his shop & move it onto our street where we live in a different province so we could eat here every day.
We will absolutely be back next time we visit Montreal!
