Review Summary

La Bohème presents a cozy, intimate dining experience with a rustic charm and a menu that delivers bold flavors and generous portions, where many guests praise the high quality of dishes such as onion soup, duck confit, gnocchi, and other meat dishes, and describe it as a hidden gem and a memorable evening with attentive service when staffing allows. However, several visits note challenges like reservation mixups, understaffing, and occasional service lapses, with some meals arriving cold or miscommunication about what is included, while others highlight fair prices, good wine options, and an atmosphere suited to couples, friends, or family gatherings. Overall, the reviews show La Bohème as a beloved destination for delicious food and a warm ambiance that could shine even brighter with steadier operations and clearer communication.

Had a family dinner at this quaint little restaurant & was pleasantly surprised. The food was genuinely delicious, & the cozy atmosphere made it feel like a hidden gem.
I'm not sure why it wasn't busier, because the quality was there.
If you go, the gnocchi is a must?try.

Such a cozy environment & the service was spectacular. I had the French onion soup as an appetizer & the rack of lamb as a main; it was so good! I would definitely recommend this place! Linda, our server, was so nice!

We were there on a Saturday night & thought the cozy restaurant with its diverse menu items was a great option!!
Unfortunately the experience was disappointing.
1. Dishes & glasses were dirty: while we pointed out the dishes were not clean, the server just said it was not wiped cleaned from the dish washer.
2. Appetizer Fried calamari: if you expect a play, it was a half plat of 6 bites & half play of rotten salad. The display was elegant, but $21 for small six bites of fried calamari & rotten salad? Yuck!!
3. Meat trio: for $76 , it seem great option for two people sharing. Unfortunately not only they do not tell you they ran out the advertised beef cut, the replaced ingredient tasted like spoiled beef & they try to disguise it by cooking it as beef Bourguignon.

Overall, nit worth spending money or waste your health at this restaurant.

La Bohème - A Quiet Masterpiece

Tucked away like a secret worth sharing, La Bohème is one of those rare places that reminds you what dining out should feel like. Despite being clearly understaffed, the service is nothing short of exceptional. The waitress moves with grace, professionalism, & a genuine smile that never fades - no matter how busy the evening gets.

The atmosphere is cozy, intimate, & inviting - not flashy, but full of charm. Subtle decorative themes, soft lighting, & just the right music make it a perfect spot for a relaxed dinner, a thoughtful date, or a quiet gathering with friends.

& the food? Truly impressive. Each dish feels crafted, not just cooked. Compliments to the chef are well deserved - bold flavours, beautiful presentation, & a sense of care in every plate. Whether you're a curious foodie or a comfort-seeker, you'll find something that hits the spot.

Special mention for the alcohol-free options: creative, refreshing, & never an afterthought. A welcome change for those who want a sophisticated drink without the buzz.

In short, La Bohème proves that you don't need a large team or a big show to deliver a memorable dining experience - just heart, talent, & a touch of soul.

40 Years old French restaurant located on the main street. Very popular with locals, keeping the same menu for years. Cozy & charming. Wine is at SAQ+10$ priced. Food is simply delicious.
