Tout était délicieux & l'accueil a été chaleureux! Nous avons mangé la spanakopita, la tiropita & une moussaka.
Ordered some moussaka for take out. It was very hot (still hot when I got to eat it) & excellent. Pleasant service.
Niata is perfect. A great place to stop in for a Freddo cappuccino, Greek pie, dessert or any of your favourite authentic Greek dishes. I often go out of my way to stop in here. Their spanakopita is by far my favourite thing & their moussaka is amazing as well. The owners are super kind as well & you can tell they really care about the quality.
You can also purchase some of your favorite Greek chocolates, snacks & honey.
A real gem. Delicious phyllo style pies (pitas) like yaya used to make with a more'refined' touch. No offence to yaya. LOL. They are all delicious. Many other Greek classic offerings including bougatsa, moussaka, & biftekakia. Efgaristo poli.
Great food (special mention: moussaka & their semolina pastry whose name now escapes me), & very friendly hosts. Not much room to eat, but all of the food is convenient to takeaway.
To be honest, I didn't expect much, but the food turned out to be delicious. I highly recommend the moussaka; it is one of the best versions I have ever tried. I am surprised Google doesn't list it as an option for recommended dishes. The only minor thing I didn't like was taramasalata. It should be made with fish eggs, but I don't taste them in it at all. I also recommend Greek-style coffee; it tasted great. It would be even better if it would be served with water on a side.
We shared Greek salad, spanakopita, tzatziki, moussaka - everything was perfect. The quality of tomatoes, feta & oil in the dressing to the thickness of the yogurt in the tzatziki, to the pillowy topping of the moussaka. Super satisfying & great service. Will be back soon!
The moussaka was divine. Probably one of the best I will ever have outside of Greece. However the tzatziki needs more (some?) garlic since I didn't taste any. The pita chips could also be thicker. The faro salad was a refreshing addition to our meal. Two could eat handsomely for $15 pp
Jeez. We walked by after patronizing the bagel place next door on a full stomach. Even with a full stomach we destroyed a container of moussaka. Super authentic & tasty. This shop is very pretty too.
Best spanakopita in town, hands down. Tiropita, kotopita & smoke meat pita are also awesome. Love the portion size of the bougatsa & love how it's not overly sweet. The moussaka is top tier. Coffees are good. Owners & staff are always very pleasant & kind.
Spanakopita & Kotopita are excellent Moussaka a bit deceiving ... no lamb, not enough eggplant & should not contain potatoes ... but tomato sauce is greek tasting We will try other dishes because this place is simply too nice .. Service is superb & is smells soo sooo good when you enter ...! Go & try it ... you will find something you love ... for sure !
