Le restaurant Keung Kee est situé sur la rue La Gauchetière au coeur du Chinatown de Montréal. C'est un des restaurants les plus authentiques, qui vous sert une excellente cuisine chinoise et cantonaise. On dirait tout simplement que les plats sont sortis directement d'une cuisine en Chine! Keung Kee est une institution de la cuisine cantonaise à Montréal, offrant des saveurs authentiques avec des portions généreuses et de nombreux plats servis rapidement et chauds, en particulier les fruits de mer et le boeuf chow fun, ce qui en fait un choix fiable et abordable dans le quartier chinois; l’expérience suscite des éloges pour des plats savoureux et bien préparés mais des critiques occasionnelles sur le service, allant d’un personnel chaleureux et efficace à un service rude ou impersonnel, et quelques remarques sur des plats parfois trop salés ou une décoration peu élégante, mais l’ambiance animée et la constance du rapport qualité prix encouragent beaucoup de clients à revenir.
This is a true cantonese restaurant, servers dont even care about you if you dont call them yet the service is fast & efficient. Food is really good & traditional tho. Loved the soups & the chicken. They also had boxes of Tsingtao beer & funny thing, they dont have that brand of beer lol.
12/2023 update: Went back for their seafood dishes & boy did they meet my expectation! Amazing place for their Cantonese style seafood dish. Everything was amazing delish. From king crab to claims to lamb pot. Had an amazing food coma after my meal. Again, truly recommend to Asian seafood fanatics. ------ Very good Chinese restaurant with seafood goodies. Only downside is how small the place is.
Fresh Cantonese cuisine (nicely balanced & not salty or heavy-handed with the seasoning), kitchen is speedy (super fast!!!) once food is ordered, & the staff are pros who have seen & dealt with it all. Limited space so don't linger when it's busy.
This is one of those restaurants that is a while in the wall. Good food for cheap price. Get the fat noodles, the special fried rice, snow pea veggies & sweet & sour pork. Always freshly made
Good was very good & what I perceived as authentic. We decided to enter to this restaurant bc it looked authentic & most of the clients looked Asian, which I took as a good sign.
We waited on the line to be seated. It felt like they were giving preference to others, supposedly they had reservation but the body language didn't felt like they did.
We were finally seated & then asked to move to a smaller table. Ok, then we moved & we looked at the menu, as a group we decided to get dishes we were familiar with & to get a dish that was unknown. Everything was very good. The spring rolls were amazing!
I would come back & would recommend, just do not expect a fine/nice dining experience, it is more like an authentic atmosphere.
Soupe aigre douce & vermicelles avec crevettes porc & oeuf. Très grande portion si vous avez faim. Pour ce qui est du goût, c'est ok. Les fans de l'asiatique trouverons ordinaire.
