The Keg Steakhouse + Bar opened the doors of its first restaurant in 1971 in Vancouver. Since then, The Keg has expanded across Canada and the US to include over 100 locations. Although its name and décor have changed over time, the dining experience has always stayed consistent. The Keg’s focus has been, and continues to be, on providing exceptional service and quality food in a comfortable atmosphere for its guests.
Quality, comfort and value are three key ingredients that make The Keg experience unlike any other. When it comes to steak, The Keg serves only the finest cuts, aged for tenderness and seasoned with a unique blend. Classic cocktails, delicious appetizers, succulent seafood, and an outstanding wine list round out its classic menu. The Keg’s friendly and knowledgeable staff creates an atmosphere that encourages guests to enjoy, relax and be themselves. Whether you’re getting together with friends or celebrating with family, you’ll always be welcomed with a smile.
The Keg Steakhouse + Bar is consistently praised for the quality and tenderness of its steaks, with filet mignon, prime rib, and baseball sirloin highlighted across reviews, and the sides and sauces generally described as solid, though some mention that veggies can be average or potatoes fine. Service is repeatedly described as professional, attentive, and friendly, with many guests noting that reservations are respected and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, while a few experiences point to slow service or occasional lapses in accuracy during busy times. Allergies and dietary needs are often well-handled, and several guests commend staff for going the extra mile to ensure safe gluten-free options and accommodate allergies; desserts and cocktails also receive praise, and celebratory touches like complimentary birthday treats appear in some visits. Despite occasional critiques about wait times, mis-ordered dishes, or rooms being too dark or loud, overall the reviews frame The Keg as a reliable go-to for steak lovers in the city, delivering strong food quality, consistent service, and a pleasant dining environment, with a note that experiences may vary by location and time of day.
J'étais un client régulier mais je déconseille ce restaurant. La qualité de la nourriture & surtout le service sont loins d'être ce que c'était avant. Je trouve que c'est dommage mais je dois le dire

Our experience was a 5/5. Vincent was very attentive & made sure we were taken care of no matter how busy it got. Food was amazing. Definitely recommend!
I went here for my 65th birthday. One person in our party of 4 had an onion allergy. The servers & staff took extreme measure to insure that everything was good for this person. One of the managers made 3 trips to our table to insure everything was good for this person. I must say we were all impressed with their level of care for the safety of their patrons. The food as always at the Keg eas fantastic.
& to top it off, the person with the allergy left their bag behind but before we got to far they called us of the item left behind. Again great attention to details.
Beau resto, très grand. Le fun cest qu'on était a l'hôtel bonaventure & qu'on a passer par en dessous pour y aller. Pas besoin de sortir dehors. Super bon, pas tant che
This picture is a 56 dollar steak that I was served. It was dark in the restaurant but to me it looked almost raw. I ordered medium well done. I took it to go & enjoyed the potatoes & mushrooms. I threw it out though as it just looked & tasted raw with NO salt or pepper. The drinks were great! Take a look!
