The miso soup was so delicious that I even asked for a refill. I ordered the red carbonara pork katsu, & I absolutely loved it.
My husband & I love this place so much, I love their combos & ofcourse i gotta get the red carbonara sauce on the side even if they have gotten so expensive 😩♥?
The food was very tasty & fresh. We both ordered the Katsu curry & one drink each. It was a little pricey for 2 people but heyy we had left overs for lunch. So no complaints 😜 I might go again to try the red carbonara Katsu dish. The service was quick & the experience was pleasant.
Ordered takeout, red carbonara katsu. I didn't expect to receive 2 katsu which is generous. Unfortunetly, they didn't taste like meat, only like oil. The carbonara sauce was pretty tasty & creamy. Not at all spicy if you eat spocy food now & then. The rice came in a small portion, which with the creamy carbonara sauce & the oily katsu made the dish very heavy. There are pickled radish & cabbage salad, which were yummy, to help but it couldn't counterattack the heaviness.
Good spot in downtown for a Japanese-Korean meal.
Came here on a Monday for a quick lunch. Even during the busy hour, the place was pretty empty, so food came out fast. The setup reminded me of the Katsuya-style restaurants that are big in South Korea. Tons of tonkatsu variations with Korean street-food like toppokki. This location felt a notch below what you'd get in Seoul, but still better than most spots in North America.
From the Korean side of the menu, I got the mala cream toppokki. Never tried it during its hype era, & it was actually better than I expected. Thin cylindrical rice cakes (which I usually prefer) & a mala cream sauce with enough heat without that heavy carbonara vibe.
The chicken karaage was decent. I went with thigh meat, but they didn't drain the oil properly, so it leaned a bit greasy. For tonkatsu, I'd been craving a proper cheese katsu, so I ordered Gold & Silver (half mozzarella, half cheddar). The cheddar half was too sharp & salty, while the mozzarella side was solid, though the pork crust ran a tad dry.
Still a good option if you want casual Korean & Japanese comfort food downtown at a reasonable price.
Nouvelle découverte. J'ai beaucoup aimé mon Udon Carbonara! Service rapide :)
As we stepped into the restaurant, we were warmly welcomed by the two waitresses & they were both friendly & patient serving us throughout the night. They took the time to explain us their menu & give us their recommendations & it made the dining experience so much more enjoyable. The food was great. I was surprised by the level of spiciness in the carbonara udon since spicy Japanese food is usually not that spicy. I really liked the kick it gave & it added nicely to the flavours. The carbonara udon I had was quite enjoyable with the thick & creamy sauce which complemented the noodles so well. I do feel like if the tempura shrimp was a bit crispier, it would have been even more amazing. Regardless, I would love to come back & try more of their items in their menu because so many of them looks interesting & delicious.
Super ! C'est la deuxième fois que je mange ici. Mon préféré reste le Katsu Carbonara
Les croquettes sont aussi délicieuses !
Very nice experience. The portions are very generous. Ordered the carbonara katsu which was lightly fried, making it very satisfying. It came with a soup appetizer which was great. Will definitely come back.
