It was busy when I entered & waited a bit, then it was time to order & the waiters were very rude & a bad tone. I understand everyone can be tired & their job is hard. But having a dull tone in front of customers is not acceptable. When the waitress asked how we were doing her tone felt insincere & sounded like she was asked to tell us how we were doing. For some reason the service was slow even though there wasn't a lot of people. I understand that they might be overwhelmed by the rush, but other people who came after us got their orders first & had similar dishes to the one we ordered. On the plus side the food was good but the price was high which was fine. I think if the servers were much nicer & not in a rude tone, I would've given this place a happy score. Not sure if I want to come back again.
I've been here several times because the food is consistently good. The portions are quite generous, the sauces are delicious, & the complimentary welcome soup is also very tasty, although I wish the serving was a little bigger. The staff are generally friendly & welcoming. The only downside is that the restaurant seems a bit understaffed during busy hours.
However, what really disappoints me is the way they handle cash payments.
On one visit, I paid in cash & was supposed to receive around $2-3 in change. Instead of giving me my change, the staff simply said'thank you' & moved on, as if the remaining money was automatically considered a tip.
On my most recent visit, my bill was a little over $50, & I paid with a $100 bill. After taking my money, the cashier asked me how much change I wanted back. That made me feel very uncomfortable. The proper procedure should be to return the full change first, & then let the customer decide whether or not to leave a tip. Tipping should always be voluntary, not something customers feel pressured into.
I really enjoy the food & would like to keep coming back, but I hope management addresses this issue because it leaves a very negative impression.
We just arrived in Montreal for the first time. Stumbled across this resto has glowing reviews on Google. Excited to try our first meal.
The staff greeted us with no smile. May be they are stressed out 🤷🏻?♂?the resto was half full.
We ordered Katsu Cabonara Mala (interesting flavour) & mixed Brick cheese (meh). Then I found a hard plastic piece in my Katsu cabonara sauce!! 🤮NO apologies when told the waiter. deducted 15% from the katsu dish.
Someone could seriously be hurt if they accidentally swallow this piece. 😢
Not returning ….
Leckeres Essen und freundlicher, schneller Service. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
I just decided to try this place out of the blue & it was very good. I tried the chicken Japanese Katsu, which are fried chicken strips & they were very good; notably, the sauce really added to the flavor. The serving size is huge, so it was basically two meals for me but should be more than enough for almost anyone. The little side salad was the only thing that wasn't very tasty, but it was a small part of the meal. They have a lot of other options as well, I'm not even sure which ones to try next.

The food is ok but i think they should make smaller portions (so cheaper price for smaller portions too) because i could never finish them😭
