Joie de Livres propose une ambiance chaleureuse et cosy, propice à ralentir et à lire tranquillement, avec un décor soigné et une fusion cafe librairie qui donne une impression féerique et immersive. Le café et les pâtisseries ainsi que les boissons sont souvent loués pour leur qualité et accompagnent bien la lecture. Le concept est apprécié par les fans de fantasy, de romance et d horreur, et la présence d un espace livres et d un bar contribue à une expérience conviviale. Le personnel est généralement décrit comme sympathique et serviable et des événements et clubs de lecture viennent enrichir l offre. Quelques avis soulignent toutefois des places assises limitées et des prix du menu parfois élevés, surtout lorsque le lieu est bondé et l ambiance peut alors ressembler plus à un restaurant qu à un cafe littéraire. Bref, Joie de Livres est souvent cité comme l'un des meilleurs concepts de librairie cafe et donne envie de revenir pour découvrir de nouveaux titres et profiter de l atmosphère.
Beautiful bookstore with many beautiful books. A must see in Montreal, especially for the book lovers out there. The bar/cafe on site is a very big plus!

Great bilingual bookstore. The essais & nonfiction section is small, but the variety of fantasy books (their specialty) is vast with all kinds of book covers & editions for most titles. The bar has a cool book inspired menu, nice choice of coffees, teas or cocktails. I'd love to visit again just to work or read while sipping a nice drink ☕?📖🍹😌
A very warm & cozy place with a beautiful decoration. The concept of sitting among books while enjoying a coffee makes the atmosphere feel calm & relaxing. It's a great spot if you like quiet environments & literary vibes.
I didn't get the chance to try the coffee during my visit, so I can't comment on the drinks, but the atmosphere & the decoration alone make this place feel special & welcoming.
Such an amazing place! The atmosphere is absolutely wonderful - cozy, inspiring, & perfect for slowing down. The coffee & pie were delicious, & the interior design is truly unique & thoughtfully done.
A perfect spot to relax with a book & enjoy a peaceful moment. Highly recommend!

Took a trip to Montreal & found this lovely little book store. So much beautiful detail in their decor. Had a yummy creamy latte & my daughter had a refreshing peach iced tea. Staff were lovely & tolerated my broken French.
Absolutely lovely bookstore with a great horror section! Great food & cocktails & a space to sip & read. They hold great events & book clubs! Everyone who works there is so kind! Shout out to James for hosting a great hellraiser event!
I think it will become one my fav-save places in Montréal. I love the selection of books & the division by topics :D
& the best! The café-bar inside makes it a dreamed place.
I would like that the place can grow up & have more tables 😆😆😆 but is fine!

Beautiful bookstore! My first visit & they have a huge selection of romance in every sub genre. They even have some other fiction sub genres in the back as well as a kids section. We didn't get to try the cafe.
This is my favourite café in Montréal, & honestly an incredible place-especially for someone like me who loves fantasy & science-fiction books.
Today, though, it was packed. Two people were sitting at a table meant for four, with their coats & books spread everywhere. I asked the staff if something could be done, but nothing happened, so I ended up leaving.
I totally understand this kind of thing when the café is quiet, but when it's busy, it feels reasonable to ask two people to use a smaller table so others can sit too.
Beautiful book store! The decor is oozing with books everywhere, from ceiling to bathroom! The staff are wonderful. Food & drinks are great & lovely places to spend the afternoon! Would like to see more food & drink options in the future 🤩 This place is cozy book lover dreams 📚 ✨🌙
