Staff so very kind very friendly! Food was so delicious not easy to find goat that so tender & flavourful but yet also very affordable. Portions very generous a plate of goat for 16$
Slowly cooked curry goat brings back memories of the island! Their jerk chicken even emits wood smoky flavours! Everything went down perfectly with their in house fruity chilli sauce. Highly recommended!

Holy moly! La nourriture était délicieuse, j'ai pu essayer le combo curry goat & jerk chicken avec un beef patty. Tout était excellent! Où que tu sois à Montréal, le trajet en vaut la peine.
Came to Montreal on a whim & I always enjoy finding where the locals eat. Stumbled upon Janette's Spicy Caribbean while deep diving in the Reddit threads. Holy smokes. This might have been the best place I ate at while in Montreal (& I ate at a lot of places). The curried goat was cooked fresh to order & brilliantly spiced. Beef patties were equally excellent. Honestly, the food here was better than some of the meals I had in Jamaica. Staff were extremely friendly & hospitable. They were amused that the first place I visited after having stepped off the plane from Denver, CO was their little establishment. Who would've thought that Jamaican cuisine would be the best thing in Montreal? Do yourself a favor & visit. I promise it will be worth the detour!
Hidden gem take out window. The goat curry, plantains, & Jamaican patty were exactly what we wanted. We waiting about 20 mins for our food & they recommended calling in your order ahead in case they were busier. Definitely check it out.
WOW!! What a gem. Driving by, I caught sight of it. It's a hole in the wall, but had to give it a try. It is a take-out only, no sit-down, but the food is real deal flavor. Had the jerk chicken, which was cooked to perfection, the rice delicious, & the in-house-made hot sauce fantastic. The staff is extremely nice. Wonderful island vibes & delicious food-what is not to love? Everyone should be supporting local small businesses like these. Generous portions & reasonable prices. Going back to have the goat & the oxtail.
The food was delicious, but I had to wait nearly two hours for my jerk chicken & goat curry. I was initially told it would be ready in 30 minutes, so the long wait was really disappointing

While there's no Jannette behind the counter, the name represents the delicious & vibrant dishes you'll find here. The jerk chicken is a standout, perfectly spiced & cooked to perfection. Their curry goat is another must-try, rich & tender, with sides like rice & peas & fried plantains that really complete the meal. The portions are generous, so you definitely get your money's worth. Even though it's takeout only, the service is fast & efficient, & they make sure each order is packed with care. Whether you're a longtime lover of Caribbean cuisine or trying it for the first time, Jannette's is the spot to satisfy your cravings!

Ordered the goat curry, the jerk chicken, & their beef patties, & they were all delicious! Perfect amount of spicy in the goat curry, & very generous portions in all plates. Plantains prepared just like back home🇲🇽 definitely ordering again!

It's unheard of here in Montreal, & it's a game-changer. & let's talk about their Jerk chicken-it actually tastes like it's been kissed by the fire, giving it that authentic, smoky flavor that's simply irresistible. Their curry goat is some of the best I've tasted, & they don't skimp on portions. It's spicy, flavorful, & everything you could want in a curry. Plus, they offer boneless goat roti for those looking for an easy-to-eat goat experience. Both the white rice & rice & peas are cooked to perfection, & you'll even get a fried dumpling with your meal-which, by the way, are absolutely fantastic. I always find myself wishing for just one more. Last but not least, their homemade pepper sauce is out of this world. I can't get enough, & they seriously need to bottle this stuff! if u don't know.. now u should, the best Jamaican food around town .. Yes, when you order for pick up, you have to wait about 40 minutes because they make everything FRESH!!! so delicious & the best Jamaican food best jerk best goat best everything!!! if u want to order , do it way in advance that way u won't wait too long☺️it's so worth it ;) i don't have too many pictures because we too hungry haha! but yeah wish they were open everyday lol
