I went there for supper at about 6 o'clock or so & the rooms are true. It is a long way they do tell you in advance that it's gonna be about 10 minutes. I'd say it's probably closer about 15 or 20 minutes give or take, but it also depends on if your friends with whoever is serving because they tend serve their friends first Also people say that you can call in advance to make it faster, but there was a guy there with me who called in advance & he was still waiting their amount of time to I got like a simple plate just a jerk chicken, small plate & yeah, I would say 20 minutes no pre-order. Anyways onto the food the food was decent. It's not something that I would go out of my way for her but for the area & like if you're passing by & you want some Caribbean food then I would say that it's decent. The jerk chicken had a lot of flavor. The chicken was moist. The rice & peas were good. You got one dumpling & one fried plantain for a small plate. It's a pretty decent sized portion. I like the service was slow, but like the guy at the window was really nice. Interesting little hidden gem of Roxboro.
I had to update my review after my recent experience. I used to think this was hands down the best roti in town but the chicken roti I had today was nothing like the one I had two years ago. It was easily half the size it used to be a few years ago & had very little filling in it. The roti skin was smaller as well & couldn't contain the gravy which oozed out & made it impossible to eat with my hands which is my preferred way & the way I used to be able to eat Janette's roti. There was next to no chicken & it was all over cooked & shredded. I asked for hot sauce & they had none. & of course the price has gone up....my friend ordered the goat roti which was equaly small & cost $19!!! If you're cool spending $15-$19 on a snack-sized roti, it does still taste good but the value is long gone.
Best of the best! Bought for the family on a nice Sunday afternoon. What a pleasure
It was a rainy day, but my girlfriend & I made it a point to bike from Montreal to get a taste & it did not dissapoint.
Food was awesome & the value for the price is unbeatable. But the best part was Ashwin (hope I spelled that right) - his great service really made the experience.
OMG,
The real deal. You not not think that there is a takeout restaurant there.
Was looking for home made Jamaican Pattie's & foud this spot in Roxboro. We ended up going & picked up some beef anf chicken patties along with a curry chicken Rotie. Wow!!! Its been a long time since ive had a real rotie. Thaks for the experience. Probably be back this week! 🤤

Sri Lanka is playing the West Indies right now, so we wanted to try both Sri Lankan & Jamaican food while watching the match. Absolutely fantastic food, very flavourful, authentic. Loved the food. Bless the Cheff 👍
