Jacopo stands out in Old Montreal with a warm, stylish vibe and a menu that delivers Italian classics with bold, fresh flavors. Reviews highlight friendly, attentive service and knowledgeable wine suggestions, and the atmosphere ranges from cozy intimate dining upstairs to lively terrace evenings. The food is repeatedly praised for quality and flavor, from crisp bruschetta, burrata and calamari to seafood pastas, gnocchi and the signature cheese wheel pasta prepared at tableside, along with desserts like tiramisu and cannolis. The wine list and cocktails pair well with many dishes, helping meals feel special for a date, a celebration, or a group dinner. While some guests note that portions can be small or prices a bit high and a few service hiccups or noisy moments, the consensus is that Jacopo offers a memorable experience with generous hospitality and superb Italian cooking that keeps guests coming back.
Had a lovely time with some great food. Kim is the best! We loved her. From the her menu suggestions to her assistance with food sensitivities, she took care of us. Thank you Kim! :)

Went to go get the cheese wheel but was told it was going to be a 45min wait, so we ordered something else just for us having to wait over an hr for food. People who sat after us were getting fresh food before us. The food came cold & the pasta sauce was already dry, it stuck together...was not edible. Also asked for bread & was told there was none left & had to wait for fresh bread. we never got it while seeing other people getting a basket way after we asked, we had to ask again after a while just to get a basket.
we waited more than an hour for our food, me & my friend we ordered the carbonara & it was really dried, they gave us 20% as an apology. service was decent, at first we requested bread & they told us they were sold out but then we noticed that they were giving bread to other tables, we asked again & they finally gave us some after we complained about our food being in a poor quality.
We had an amazing happy hour here ! Our server, Maeva, was so nice & accommodating. This is a great place to stop for drinks & a bite while exploring the Old Port.
Our server Ageric was truly the best. So charming & kind. Made sure we were comfortable & having a great time the whole night. Paid attention to every single detail. Definitely recommending to friends!
