I enjoyed everything; the food, ambiance & service. I adore the location
The beef tartare! Just wow… just dug right in, this is the picture of the last bite lol
I’ve had the privilege of experiencing quite a few of the upscale Mtl restaurants & this restaurant was by far one of the best in terms of price, ambiance & especially SERVICE. The service is top notch & combine that with the excellent food, drinks (they make excellent mocktails), & beautiful scenery (the architecture is simply divine).
I highly recommend this place!!
Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. I arrived as the kitchen had just closed at 2pm. Luckily they do have a "lounge" menu. So I ordered a shrimp cocktail & a glass of Chablis. I changed seats as I was facing the AC vent & was wet from the rain outside. That did not seem to be a problem with the very nice & professional waiter but with the kitchen...It took almost 30 minutes to bring me 5 medium/large shrimps. It was served on a bed of ice with a forgettable shrimp sauce, no salad, no nothing. They brough me & oyster fork!!! The shrimps were cooked to perfection but tasteless as they were nearly getting frozen from the ice on the plate. Then, shock/ horror, I paid in cash. I gave the waiter 2 50$ bills. It took another 15 minutes to find some change as if they had never seen the color of money before. The little manager that was running all over the place made me feel a bit cheap! I'm a professional tour guide, NOT a drug dealer. I tried to offer them to pay with a credit card. They were on a mission to find money.
A beautiful upscale restaurant located inside the Birks Hotel right across from Phillips Square in Montreal.
Classic French flair with elevated twists. Went for a work lunch & the servings were generous but not overwhelming. Ordered the chèvre salad which was amazing. Warm
Goat cheese was served on a toasted baguette slice with endives & greens to accompany. Highly recommended especially for a midday meal.
Coffee was excellent & everyone drooled over the lemon tart. Will check out again for dinner menu.
Great oysters.
Food was okay, the oysters were really fresh & brioche really good but the avocado toast was tasteless, it was simply avocado on bread with no seasoning.
The waiters were good, quick & efficient, just as how french people should be.
The decor & architectures was french inspired, the roof architecture is well made but the rest was lacking. The plain body of the pillars did not seem like it was part of the show & & the decors a bit underwhelming. Take it with a grain of salt as it is my personal opinion, but it wasn't it for me.
Toujours un excellent service.
Nourriture très bonne.
Beaucoup de stationnement.
we went there, my wife & I for our wedding anniversary. it was a wonderful experience. nothing to complain about. they even noted the occasion & our waiter was aware of it.
the food, the ambiance, the service... all was perfect. we enjoyed it a lot.
thank you for making us happy during our visit. we will come again.
