Very disappointing food for the price.
Beautiful ambiance, excellent service but food quality was very disappointing given the high profile & high prices at this resto.
Had trouble locating goat cheese in the beet salad ($23), house smoked salmon lacked flavour, served with a single cracker ($26), shrimp linguini was very underwhelming, my husband felt it was no better than Kraft Dinner ($47), smoked salmon pasta had only cooked smoked salmon & not raw in the sauce, would have been better topped with some fresh gravlax ($37). Desserts didn't fare much better. Ice cream in profiteroles tasted like cheap ice milk & not ice cream ($17) & the Mille feuilles was all feuilles & nowhere near enough cream ($16). No bread was offered. Dinner for two with wine & coffee & tip was $370. That's ok when the food has taste, but not when what's on the plates is at best,'meh'. Poor quality food, we won't be back.
Henri at Hotel Birks was a beautiful experience. The ambiance is warm, intimate, & thoughtfully designed-calm, elegant, & inviting without feeling formal. The service truly stood out: friendly, attentive, & genuine, especially at the bar, where everything felt relaxed & well cared for. The food was excellent, but it was the atmosphere & service that made the night feel special. A place that makes you want to slow down & enjoy every moment.
Such a beautiful place to grab brunch, with a delicious menu, including seafood cold bar, & buzzy atmosphere without being too loud to catch up with friends.
Great atmosphere, the restaurant was beautifully decorated. Dishes were good except the duck was a bit chewy. Server was fine but for some reason I got a judgemental vibe from him.
Beautiful restaurant. Typical French bistro menu. The salmon duo rillettes was very tasty. The chicken with morel sauce was nice & juicy. The Paris Brest is one of the best we've had.
I want to give a huge shout-out to Chef Marino Tavares & the incredible team at Henri Brasserie Française.
Our meal was nothing short of spectacular - every dish was perfectly executed, full of flavor, & beautifully presented. You can really feel the passion & talent behind Chef Marino's cooking.
A special mention as well to our server David, who was warm, attentive, & genuinely elevated the whole experience. The service was smooth, friendly, & professional without ever being rushed.
From beginning to end, everything was flawless.
If you're looking for a place in Montreal where cuisine, ambiance, & service come together perfectly, Henri is truly one of the best.
Bravo, we'll definitely be back!
Very fancy & classy Brasserie Francaise. Wonderful rapid & discreet service. Choices for lunch are wonderful & well done. Able to offer classic French Pub food in a high end environment & it's facing the beautiful Philip Square. Want to treat yourself to some luxury at lunch? This is the place.
Beautiful place. But food was very disappointing. Beef tartare (40$) had so much onions in it that it had no other taste but onion. It felt more like onion tartare with beef 😔 cocktail was pretty good though.
excellent cocktail & decent food. the steak was perfect , the lobster roll was good but not memorable . desserts were good as well. overall, excellent service ,beautiful decor & refined dishes.
Henri Brasserie in Montreal totally impressed me-it's got this beautiful, stylish vibe that still feels cozy & welcoming. I had the beet salad to start, which was super fresh & full of flavor, & then the bavette, which was cooked perfectly & just hit the spot. The whole experience felt special without being stuffy, & the service was friendly & on point. It's the kind of place that makes you want to slow down, enjoy your meal, & take it all in. Can't wait to go back.
This Is purely the most beautiful hidden gem of Montréal.
I love the architecture, the history with the Jewellery Store.
It is so nice to have a good coffee , alone or with good company.
2 big Thumbs Up to Mrs Nathalie for her exceptional service.
Thank you
The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. Chic & timeless steering away from trendy. However the food is just ok. The appetizers (onion soup & escargot) were excellent but the salmon tartare & steak did not match the finery of the decor. I would gladly Return again for a drink but not for a meal.
It was our first New Year's Eve together dining in a fancy restaurant & it was definitely a great experience! I was amazed by the charming atmosphere. The gracefully high ceiling & the gorgeous stained glass windows, the beautiful decor of the room, people all dressed up. It was a busy night, the servers running on the floor with smiling faces all the time. They were attentive & impeccable. In this moment, I felt like living in a kingdom. We had New Year's Eve menu as others .The food was fresh & delicious. The cozy fireplace corner was the perfect spot to make New Year Wishes. The terrific burgundy night, cheers!
Everything about our dinner here was wonderful. The hostess was fantastic & attentive, the dinning room itself was beautifully decorated & designed, & the food was even better.
Beautiful decor, amazing food. Oysters & lobster risotto topped with perfectly cooked scallops. Amazing.
Beautiful room, great service & the food & drinks were good as well Recommended
A beautiful place to have a delicious lunch served by great staff. Will be back!
The place is beautiful. Food it great quality but dinner is definitely more interesting then brunch. Usually service is good but last time we went for brunch we waited forever for coffee & the waiter couldn't pull off the usual standard service quality you'd expect from Brasserie Henri.
Sensational experience from start to finish. Beautiful decor, unparalleled service & delicious meal. Very highly recommended.
A beautiful restaurant with a very well thought out menu. The layout of the plates is done with thought & care. My only negative is a personal preference for scraped meat versus chopped in the tartare. Aside from that my meal was excellent.
