A must when in Montreal. In the old Birks building with impressive architecture & outdoor patio available. Service was helpful, friendly, & attentive. I was impressed with the wine, cocktail list, & menu selection. The soup (cold) & appetizers were well presented & delicious. The main course of seafood pasta was so tasty I used my spoon for the extra sauce.
Was a little pricy but worth the amount. A highlight of our trip.Voir plus
✨ Brunch at Henri Brasserie Française ✨
I had the pleasure of enjoying brunch at Henri, & it was exactly what an intimate date should feel like - refined, relaxed, & beautifully indulgent.
The cocktail I had was a stunner: crystal-clear, perfectly chilled, garnished with a sprig of thyme & an orchid - almost too pretty to drink. But beyond the looks, it was well-balanced & subtly herbal, a lovely pairing with the ambiance.
The interior is breathtaking - high ceilings, golden light, & that classic Parisian brasserie charm that makes you want to stay for hours. There's an effortless elegance here, but it still feels warm & welcoming.
If you're in Montréal & looking for a spot to elevate your morning or treat someone special, Henri delivers sophistication without pretension.

The service was great, I placed my purse on the windowsill & our server brought over a velvet stool for me to place it on, I even got escorted to the bathroom so I knew where it was, we got seated right away, the cocktails & food were amazing, cannot preach enough!

I had a great experience there. The highlight of my visit was Anne, the bartender. She was super friendly & made one of the best cocktails I've ever had. I'll definitely be coming backVoir plus
This is a classic style French restaurant with all the different trappings that you expect of a classic French restaurant, including fancy wine & really cool cocktails & rich food designed specifically to maximize flavor & treat your palate to an experience. It won't forget. I got a white fish dish that was really delicious & paired very nicelyVoir plus

The Henri Brasserie Française is usually always a sure thing for brunch. Everytime we come we always have a great time & experience & Mimosas are yummy. With those reasons we came for the Easter brunch. They had a special Easter menu & we ordered one of everything creating our own tasting menu, plus the seafood tower & an additional dessert. The seafood tower was a great way to start our meal. Including lobster, shrimp cocktail, & oysters that were fresh & perfectly clean & shucked. Easter menu: The rabbit croquettes were fresh & crispy but left a bit to be desired in the taste profile. It was more of a crispy mini arancini with I'm assuming bits of rabbit. Couldn't really make any meat out to be honest I could only make out the rice. The rabbit must have been busy delivering Easter eggs because he was MIA in our croquettes. Also a very small dish, we got 3 croquettes total, & 2 of them were the size of a large marble, the third was even smaller. The dish was mostly shaved cucumber. The chicken & waffles were delicious. Chicken strips were fresh hot & crispy, waffles had a crispy exterior & soft & fluffy when you cut into them, & the poached eggs were perfectly cooked. All drizzled with maple syrup. The lamb shank was fall off the bone tender & rich, the mashed peas were very pulpy in texture & a very dense. It would have been nicer if the peas were blended with fluffy mashed potatoes. The bitter chocolate tarte dessert was refreshing with the citrus gel & wine foam. La goutte chocolatée was just the right amount of chocolate with the chocolate biscuit & chocolate cream mousse. A nice balance of textures with creamy & crispy with almonds crisps & cocoa nibs. The restaurant is beautiful with all the architectural details from the molded ceilings down to the stained glass. The service was good! Our server Dom was great & friendly, only opportunity was having to ask for a refill to our water glasses. To conclude we had a nice time as usual, but there were a few things that could've been better. Still recommend for brunch though, & valet is a plus who like hunting for a parking spot.Voir plus
Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. I arrived as the kitchen had just closed at 2pm. Luckily they do have a "lounge" menu. So I ordered a shrimp cocktail & a glass of Chablis. I changed seats as I was facing the AC vent & was wet from the rain outside. That did not seem to be a problem with the very nice & professional waiter but with the kitchen...It took almost 30 minutes to bring me 5 medium/large shrimps. It was served on a bed of ice with a forgettable shrimp sauce, no salad, no nothing. They brough me & oyster fork!!! The shrimps were cooked to perfection but tasteless as they were nearly getting frozen from the ice on the plate. Then, shock/ horror, I paid in cash. I gave the waiter 2 50$ bills. It took another 15 minutes to find some change as if they had never seen the color of money before. The little manager that was running all over the place made me feel a bit cheap! I'm a professional tour guide, NOT a drug dealer. I tried to offer them to pay with a credit card. They were on a mission to find money.Voir plus
