✨ Brunch at Henri Brasserie Française ✨
I had the pleasure of enjoying brunch at Henri, & it was exactly what an intimate date should feel like - refined, relaxed, & beautifully indulgent.
The cocktail I had was a stunner: crystal-clear, perfectly chilled, garnished with a sprig of thyme & an orchid - almost too pretty to drink. But beyond the looks, it was well-balanced & subtly herbal, a lovely pairing with the ambiance.
The interior is breathtaking - high ceilings, golden light, & that classic Parisian brasserie charm that makes you want to stay for hours. There's an effortless elegance here, but it still feels warm & welcoming.
If you're in Montréal & looking for a spot to elevate your morning or treat someone special, Henri delivers sophistication without pretension.

Great for spot for brunch to celebrate a special occasion.Voir plus
Worst brunch in town. Over priced. I ordered the lobster egg Benedict ~ it was very small & taste less, no sides of potatoes, nothing. We ordered some breakfast potatoes extra, the potatoes were not cooked well... my friend ordered some pancakes. It looks like the McDonald's happy meal with some canned fruits that makes no sense. Very big disappointment. I am a foodie. I know the best brunch place in downtown Montreal & I definitely do not recommend this place for brunch. The only good thing about this place is that it looks amazing but the service is just OK as well. They're not so attentive about you.Voir plus
The place is beautiful. Food it great quality but dinner is definitely more interesting then brunch. Usually service is good but last time we went for brunch we waited forever for coffee & the waiter couldn't pull off the usual standard service quality you'd expect from Brasserie Henri.Voir plus
Very overpriced. The menu before covid area was nice. I went back recently for Sunday brunch. Now it is overpriced & the size of the meal has shrunk so much! I was still hungry after the brunch. Not worth it anymore. Service is great & atmosphere is nice but the food does meet the basic needs. Very sorry but I will not go back. 100$ for 2 for egg Benedict & tea including taxes & service fees!! Just too much for me.Voir plus
I loved Henri Brasserie Française. Chic but not pretentious at all (relax, which is always a great thing). You feel good here, exactly as it should happen at every single restaurant as that is supposed to be the purpose of anything related to the hospitality industry (hosting patrons, pleasing the patrons in return for their money), but not all restaurants manage to do that as successfully as Henri. & the place is beautiful. Service is superb. That Hollandaise Sauce really stood out, by Montreal Hollandaise Sauce restaurant standards, the homemade brioche bread (of the Eggs Benedict) at this brunch at Henri is what dreams are made of.Voir plus
I went with my boyfriend for brunch. He had the burger, & I had the spécial du jour, which was a club sandwich. Food was delicious & of noticeably great quality. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. The staff was professional, helpful & courteous. The only negative point I would give, is that the bathrooms are not very accessible to people with reduced mobility, as I was in crutches. There's an elevator, but after the elevator, I had to go down 3 steps (there is no ramp), & the door to the bathroom is quite heavy. My boyfriend went to get the car, as we had been told that the bathroom was accessible for me. Overall, the restaurant does need to improve its accessibility, but I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who enjoys a great time in a great place, as I loved my time there!Voir plus
Went for brunch. The food was mediocre. Poached eggs had no seasoning & none were made available to us. Fries were cold by the time served. Burger was dry. Bacon was overly sweet. Burnt caramel with the "crepes" which truly are pancakes was actually burnt. Beef tartare was served only with fries no bread... Overprice for the quality of the food that is FOR SURE! Would never go back.Voir plus
The Henri Brasserie Française is usually always a sure thing for brunch. Everytime we come we always have a great time & experience & Mimosas are yummy. With those reasons we came for the Easter brunch. They had a special Easter menu & we ordered one of everything creating our own tasting menu, plus the seafood tower & an additional dessert. The seafood tower was a great way to start our meal. Including lobster, shrimp cocktail, & oysters that were fresh & perfectly clean & shucked. Easter menu: The rabbit croquettes were fresh & crispy but left a bit to be desired in the taste profile. It was more of a crispy mini arancini with I'm assuming bits of rabbit. Couldn't really make any meat out to be honest I could only make out the rice. The rabbit must have been busy delivering Easter eggs because he was MIA in our croquettes. Also a very small dish, we got 3 croquettes total, & 2 of them were the size of a large marble, the third was even smaller. The dish was mostly shaved cucumber. The chicken & waffles were delicious. Chicken strips were fresh hot & crispy, waffles had a crispy exterior & soft & fluffy when you cut into them, & the poached eggs were perfectly cooked. All drizzled with maple syrup. The lamb shank was fall off the bone tender & rich, the mashed peas were very pulpy in texture & a very dense. It would have been nicer if the peas were blended with fluffy mashed potatoes. The bitter chocolate tarte dessert was refreshing with the citrus gel & wine foam. La goutte chocolatée was just the right amount of chocolate with the chocolate biscuit & chocolate cream mousse. A nice balance of textures with creamy & crispy with almonds crisps & cocoa nibs. The restaurant is beautiful with all the architectural details from the molded ceilings down to the stained glass. The service was good! Our server Dom was great & friendly, only opportunity was having to ask for a refill to our water glasses. To conclude we had a nice time as usual, but there were a few things that could've been better. Still recommend for brunch though, & valet is a plus who like hunting for a parking spot.Voir plus
Well situated in downtown Montreal in the Birks Hotel our group of 6 enjoyed a delicious Sunday Brunch with outstanding service. The restaurant is beautiful, the seating was comfortable, we took our time to enjoy the food as well as the company & were never rushed. The eggs Benedict with smoked salmon were beautifully plated as was the cheese plate. I will be returningVoir plus
