Belle soirée en amoureux au grill japonais GYUBEE. Pas de réservation possible, nous devons nous inscrire en personne sur une liste d'attente qui permet de suivre en direct notre progression.
Au final, nous avons attendu une demie heure. Un fois assis, la nourriture arrive très vite. Notre serveuse était très gentille & attentive aux moindres besoins.
Par contre, assurez vous de savoir parler anglais.
Il y avait des séparateurs entre chacunes des tables qui permettaient d'avantage d'intimité.
Nous avons adoré le steak mariné au miso & l'agneau. Honnêtement, il y avait beaucoup de bons choix! La seule déception: le porc ne goûtait pas grand chose. Sinon, toutes les types de viandes (& autres accompagnements) étaient excellents.
Nous recommanderons assurément cet endroit.
Best bbq in montreal, amazing protein choice, fresh & well seasoned. Sides are so good as well. Always love to pair my meat with the bibimbap. Highly recommend the miso steak & the thin slices. Best bbq. Always return there. Creme brulée & ice cream to finish the meal is so satisfying

It's truly the best BBQ restaurant I've ever been to. Nora(she is the best ) gave us the warmest welcome & was incredibly kind & professional. I would highly recommend this restaurant to every BBQ lover. The service is outstanding, the food is amazing, & the vibe is just perfect.
Special shoutout to Host Wong - he's the absolute BEST! Warm welcome, great service, & made our night extra special. Management, please give Wong a well-deserved raise he's a superstar! 🔥🍖

Everything was absolutely delicious. Yes, literally everything! Gyubee Japanese Grill is easily my top choice for East Asian barbecue in North America right now.
The service was just as impressive: efficient, attentive, & genuinely friendly. Special shout-out to Ayman, who made our experience even better with his speed & great attitude.
We didn't have to wait because we arrived before 5:00 PM, but shortly after we were seated, the wait time quickly grew to at least 30 minutes. I'd highly recommend either coming early or making a reservation in advance.
Overall, I'd give this place a five-star rating for taste, price, & service. For food of this quality at this price point, the value is simply unbeatable.
I've dined at many restaurants in Montreal over the years, but this was one of the most disappointing experiences I've had. The service was noticeably unprofessional - staff were busy chatting with each other & openly watching customers instead of paying attention to their tables. We were left waiting far too long.
The food quality & hygiene were especially concerning. The meat tasted off & had an unpleasant smell, & shortly after the meal I experienced stomach issues & diarrhea. This is not something I've experienced elsewhere, & it raised serious concerns about food handling & preparation.
As a diner, I expect basic standards of service & food safety. Unfortunately, this restaurant failed on both. I won't be returning & would not recommend it.
My partner & I had a pleasant time & were satisfied with the quality of the food in general. The staff were friendly & ready to assist, although one tiny problem we had is that the orders would often be forgotten & we had to ask for them on multiple occasions to receive them, hence the 4 star. However, in general we had a good time & would recommend this place to others too.
Je viens tout juste de terminer un buffet de barbecue de boeuf dans ce restaurant & l'expérience a été excellente. La qualité du boeuf est vraiment très bonne : la viande est fraîche, savoureuse, bien découpée & reste juteuse après la cuisson. Le choix est varié & les plats sont rapidement réapprovisionnés, ce qui évite toute attente. Le restaurant est propre & bien ventilé, sans odeur excessive de fumée après le repas. Le service est chaleureux & efficace. C'est une adresse où l'on a clairement envie de revenir, avec un très bon rapport qualité-prix. Je recommande vivement.

The food here is absolutely delicious, the grill at the table is a fun experience, & the service is great (& sometimes includes a cat robot). Highly recommend for date nights or group outings, but get on their online wait-list if you're going on a busier night. Only criticism is that it's so good that it's often packed & can be a bit loud.
Good meats for AYCE, at least nothing is hard to chew in any of the choices compared to the non AYCE nearby. They have beef, pork, chicken, lamb, shrimp, squid. They have carefully selected the meats to not include connective tissue, so everything can be chewed without breaking your teeth. The sauce leaves something to be desired but considering the choices around this area, I can say it's decent. The service at this restaurant is top notch, second to none in any of the restaurants that I have been in Montreal. They are very attentive to your needs. They are able to anticipate your needs most of the time & they are able to fulfill your request with virtually no time. They have a robot that helps deliver stuff too. They have plenty of staff that can address the needs of everyone, with the shortest waiting time if any. I highly recommend this place for the excellent service that makes you feel like a VIP when you eat here.
Very different from the other Gyubees I've been to. The decor was very Japanese-wooded theme which was very homey & comfortable vibes. The food was all you can eat & you cook it yourself. Around $50 for the all you can eat at dinner time. The service was prompt as the waiters came pretty frequently. Overall recommend!
