Le Garde Manger est une sorte de joyau culinaire qui, de prime abord, n'en présente pas les apparences. Il faut d'abord dénicher l'endroit, dans une ruelle quelque part près des quais du Vieux-Montréal. De plus, ce bistro sans prétention, situé près du centre des affaires, ne possède pas d'enseigne extérieure. We had the best dinner & service we have experienced in a long time! Great staff, very nice & accommodating. The food was 😙👌🏽. We opted for the 295 chef menu & we did not regret it! I would definitely put this on your food bucket list, absolutely fab. Yes, it's loud, yes it's a bit dark but that's called ambiance, & this establishment definitely has it! Highly recommend this place. Peace.
We had a wonderful evening. Attentive staff pulled us in from the street (there is no sign indicating the restaurant). Friendly, attentive staff made us comfortable & picked up discretely that it was my birthday. The food was exquisite, service was attentive but not overwhelming. Our wait staff offered to have Chuck come to our table & he did, quite readily. They generously offered a token of appreciation for my birthday & Chuck took a few minutes to share some cool anecdotes about the plaques & facade of the restaurant. A very authentic & genuine evening. Great ambience in an intimate setting. Music was comfort but not invasive. Highly recommend the experience!

Highly recommend Menu Du Chef. An amazing 7 course & dessert dining experience. The seafood preparation was incredible, with every course a delight! The wine pairing married so well. It is a seafood focused restaurant but the hanger steak... also perfection. Truly an unforgettable meal! Very much appreciated the service staff -an equally huge part of this review. Thank you!
Absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish. My husband & I did the chef's seasonal tasting menu & every single dish we tried was bursting with flavor & executed to perfection. The seafood, in particular, was very fresh. The cocktails were also on point!
What truly elevated the evening, though, was the service. The staff were exceptional: attentive, knowledgeable, & genuinely passionate about what they do. We felt completely taken care of the entire time.
The vibe & atmosphere were just as impressive. Sitting at the bar made the experience even better; it felt immersive & exciting, like being right in the heart of it all.
This place exceeded all expectations. Easily one of the best dining experiences I've had. I would highly recommend it.
Had an amazing dinner & drinks this week. First time there & came highly recommended by coworkers in Calgary :) 10/10 will come back next time I'm in Montreal. Killian was a fantastic bartender & the staff were super kind!
What an incredible experience beginning to end. The restaurant is warm & inviting, the staff very friendly & knowledgeable - all of their recommendations were fantastic.
A huge thanks to David & Chef for ensuring our dinner was impeccable. I have some significant dietary constraints & wasn't sure I would be able to participate with the rest of the group in the storied tasting menu. However, David was most kind in coordinating with me in advance a full presentation with modifications to ensure I could enjoy the evening.
Everything from the Ahi, to the beets, to the swordfish, salmon, carrot & the most incredible apple & coconut sorbet was delightful. Truly a unique & inviting experience, highly recommend.

Go, it is one of the best restaurants I've been. Highly recommended. Find it by the address . The table was ready at 8 sharp. You need to make a reservation.
Highly recommend you will not be disappointed. We spent the weekend in mtl from Toronto & ended up there 2 nights out of the 3. Once for dinner & once to finish off our night with drinks because the vibe was just so good & all the staff was so friendly. The food was outstanding & drinks were on point.
Wow wow wow wow. Food was an amazing experience! Get the chef's choice for sure. Service was amazing. Everyone there makes you feel like you're the only one there. Highly recommend.

The bartender, a young woman, was both professional & impressively knowledgeable about wine & cocktails. The service, ambiance & music top notch. What an experience. Firstly a shout out to whomever hires the staff. We interacted with 4 different people & all were authentically friendly & very competent. Water was always full & napkins folded if we stepped away from the table. I tried folding my napkin before I got up & they recognized the rubbish job I did & refolded it. Jordon took care of us but there was a team working with him to ensure we had the best experience.
We had the 5 course chef menu & were impressed with the selection with each course. The seafood plate was amazing & included a half lobster. Each course had a sampling of 3 different dishes which were all excellent.
Jordan was happy to explain the dishes when we had questions & made sure we had the best experience. Highly recommend!

The minute you walk in, you are treated to mouth-watering aromas from the grill & overall kitchen. Seafood is spectacular & wine list very interesting. Highly recommended.

Food, service & atmosphere were a 15/10. Creative, non pretentious & well worth the money. The food was phenomenal & the service was equally impressive. The experience exceeded our expectations & I highly recommend Garde Manger.
Wow, wow, wow was this place FANTASTIC!!! My husband & I were lucky enough to stumble upon this cute, cozy, charming restaurant. There are no signs, so we just went in & gave it a shot. We just saw a performance at the Centaur Theatre up the street & walked by. I noticed the fireplace through the window & saw it as quite lively for almost 10pm on a cold Wednesday evening. We entered with a friendly greeting by David, who sat us at the end of the bar bc all tables were taken. The restaurant is intimate, warm, & cozy. The lovely bartender, Emma, was amazing! She was professional, personable, & took great care of us, which really added to the dining experience. She walked us through the menu, suggested options, made exceptional drinks, all with a warm & friendly demeanor. Being a seafood specialty restaurant, we ordered all seafood. We ordered 3 starters (tuna, arctic char, & snow crab), & 1 main (swordfish), & focaccia bread. Every bite was exceptional! We were in seafood heaven! I HIGHLY recommend & look forward to our next visit.
Garde Manger exceeded expectations. Every bite was delicious across all the courses & the cocktails were incredible. Highly recommend the Pour Georgette. Food wise, we absolutely loved the octopus appetizer & the combination of ingredients in the sea bass. The coffee cake was an amazing way to top off the meal. My only complaint - I wish the focaccia was warm :)
