Hot bagel thrown at you as fast as you can pay. We got both Fairmount St. Viateur sesame bagel & taste tested them & I'm giving an ever so slight win to Fairmount. If you're visiting MTL go & get hot fresh bagel.

Fairmount bagel is a great place to get a Montréal Bagel! I am no Montreal bagel expert, I must say; but I do know a good bagel when I have one! They do not offer toasted bagels, which I was surprised about; but the sesame bagel tends to be fresh out of the oven so it is warm already! They have different spreads that they sell if you want to add some pizzazz. The space is small, so you will not be able to eat in at this establishment. They are not wheelchair accessible just as an FYI. You will get your bagel, a wooden knife, & a single serve of the spread of your choice. There are some parks nearby, so we took our bagels & enjoyed some sun & nature while eating them. The bagels we got were delicious l! But if they were toasted they would have been immaculate!!
Crunchy, soft & SUPER FRESH, right from the oven bagels!!!! So good & you can't compare it with anything else, so unique in all the aspects. A MUST GO!!!! Staff was also very friendly to be. They are opened 24 hours. I had one sesame bagel & the other one was the blueberry. Both are on the sweeter side, they are not extremely big so you can definitely try more than one flavor. The price for the quality is out of this world. It's worth the walk or the ride!!!
Great place, great bagels. Best when fresh out of the oven. No place to sit but luckily we got a parking spot nearby so we just sat in our car to eat our bagel with cream cheese.

Worth visiting! We've stopped by here two years in a row while on a work trip. It's open 24/7 & the bagels come out freshly made! These are the best bagels I've ever had & much better than anything in Ontario. Highly recommend!
Amazing bagels fresh from the oven smells so delicious its easy to eat a bunch of them, so soft, & warm, & the aroma so good, outstanding bagels. Good service.

Just another great review for Fairmount Bagel. They were sampling this cream cheese & guacamole spread when I went, & selling it in the coolers. We bought that & on their fresh bagels it was AMAZING. Worth going out of your way for.

We came to try some super fresh bagels, we weren't disappointed, we bought a few extra flavours to try later throughout the day. The sesame & all seasoned were the classic ones we enjoyed the most. The blueberry & cranberry were also great & flavourful. We came back before we returned home & purchased a dozen various flavours to take back home with us. Remember it's cash only so make sure you have it otherwise you won't get served.
It's a classic for a reason. Sesame bagels all the way. These warm bagels are delicious. I recommend to cut them as soon as they are cold & freeze the extra (I can't get there every week). In the toaster it tastes almost like fresh. Waiting a few days or in the fridge it tastes better from the freezer. I was served with a smile at 23h from this great french lady.
Grab & go spot for freshly made Montreal style bagels - these are slightly sweeter & have more bounce than a New York style bagel & actually make for a great snack. Cream cheese & lox sold separately, no sandwiches available.
Best bagel in the city! There often is a lineup during the day, it is worth the wait. My favourite is a warm, freshly made sesame bagel, but the onion bagel is also delicious!
