We serve up simple, delicious shawarma and falafel, made with care and consistency, just like back home with a touch of modern flair. Our goal is to offer tasty, affordable meals that everyone can enjoy, whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down with friends. We can’t wait to share our love for good food with you. Come by and say hello!
Overall, reviews describe Dunya as one of the best shawarma spots in Montreal with authentic Lebanese flavor, a simple but high quality menu, and very reasonable prices. The chicken shawarma is consistently juicy and well seasoned, the beef shawarma earns praise for depth of flavor, and the garlic toum sauce is a standout. The falafel is often called the best in town, and the fattoush and fresh sides are regularly praised. Fries are crispy and the homemade sauces and dips are a highlight, with ice cream and peach iced tea winning fans as well. The atmosphere is cozy and clean, with friendly, attentive staff and a welcoming vibe that makes it feel like home. Some notes mention occasional order mix ups with delivery and limited seating, and a few people found portions lighter or the chicken a touch salty, but the overall experience remains reliable and consistently delicious. Dunya is a go to for takeout or dine in for authentic Lebanese shawarma in Montreal.
Went to try Dunya during the weekend & it was a blast. Their shawarma is the best in montreal. They serve it the authentic way. The fries were super crunchy. Everything was super fresh & the staff were very welcoming & accommodating. We were two people & we order 2 shawarmas each. & 1 was more than enough for a person. Generous portions. & the garlic sauce to sandwich ratio was perfect. Props to the team for not re-inventing the wheel & keeping the authentic Lebanese shawarma scene in montreal alive !
I tried falafel, beef, & chicken shawarma sandwiches. My personal favorite is falafel, followed by beef. The chicken is just okay for me because it has a strong garlic sauce, which makes it my least favorite. The usual waiting time for an order is 15-20 minutes. .

The guys at Dunia are doing it right! Their beef shawarma is to die for.. juicy tender, flavorful, & exactly how you expect it; Lebanon's best version of Shawarma. The chicken is excellent also & the felafel is very good but a tiny bit dense. It could use some lightness. It's a very nice lively vibe, & the service is excellent & the value for the food is amazing. I recommend everyone to try this gem of a place.
This is the most authentic shawarma, the taste will take you back to lebanon. Easy, simple & straight to the point menu ! By far, the best shawarma in Montreal
The most authentic shawarma i have tasted in Montreal YUMMY❤️ Juicy chicken with garlic . Savoury beef with fresh vegies. Fries are succulant . The falafel took me back to my childhood. As for the creme glacée delicious: ashta pistachio is a must . Friendly staff too 😍❤️😍BRAVO .
One of the best shawarma in montreal. As close as you can get to the ones you would eat in Lebanon. I tried the beef & the chicken shawarmas both are super tasty. You can taste the meat is fresh. Flavours are just right. Their homemade iced tea is also really good! I crave it all the time now!
FINALLY some authentic, relatively affordable Lebanese street food in Montreal. This is the only actual shawarma & falafel restaurant in town. They are suuuper kind & welcoming, they gave us all (4 people) free amazing ashta ice cream because they were sold out of shawarma. Absolutely coming back!!
Phenomenal Experience. Tried all shawarma amd falafel restaurant, Dunya restaurant stands by itself when it comes to authenticity & epic services. My favorite place now for lebanese authenticity Shawarma & falafel. Chapeaux bas
