Shoutout to the entire staff for working in 30+ degree heat all day & dealing with an insane line up!! Food was amazing, very authentic & definitely worth trying. A special shout-out to the cashier for going back & forth between tourists & locals & answering every question under the sun!
Great food & excellent service! The staff was friendly, respectful, & very welcoming. Everything was fresh & delicious. Highly recommend!
Edit - Dunya's owner sent me both a sincere email & message explaining they are actively working on this & truly wish that there wasn't such a long line. Bumping this review up because I genuinely felt her heard, & that their owner Rami takes customer experience to heart. Thank you, Dunya!
It is truly a crime to tell someone to wait 20 to 25 minutes for a single chicken Shawarma. I was so excited when I first found Dunya As a nearby spot with affordable, good quality meals. I soon realized that the catch was that every time I went, it could be upwards of 40 minutes to receive my food. No chef preparing something elaborate in the back, just 3-4 main dishes they prepare assembly line style. Today I waited in 15 minutes just to be told it would be 20 to 25 minutes for a single chicken Shawarma & two falafel balls. I wouldn't wait 40 minutes at my favourite restaurant for my meal. It shouldn't feel like a gamble to go a restaurant because you might spend more time waiting for the food than enjoying it. Dunya, if you're reading this, please don't ride off of your recent popularity thinking people won't get tired of the wait. I genuinely think there's huge potential & want come here often, but only have so many chances I can give before I cross this place off my list.
Very nice shawarma spot. It was busy but I can see why! The food was very yummy. We got the chicken & beef shawarma & we couldn't decide which was better. We got a side of fries as well & they came out nice & hot. There was a bit of a wait & the inside doesn't have much seating but if you can get a spot def try it!
Customer service has gone downhill unfortunately, no greeting or proper acknowledgment just a Gen Z stare
broski the food is lowk kinda mid in my opinion no flavour man's gonna hop on a train & go hit up the GTA & go eat some real food dawgs 💯💯 sincerely brampton manz😤
