The chicken shawarma was excellent 😋 👌
The meat not so bad but very good compared to the fact that this is not in Lebanon .
& do not leave before you try their ashta ice cream.
Great to take out. Best chicken shawarma ever. Had to wait 15 minutes but it was worth it. Very crowded at 7pm on a Saturday. Many waited outside for their order. Would come back.
Dunya is hands down one of the best shawarma spots I've ever experienced - not just in Montreal, but anywhere.
Everything about this place feels generous. The food, the portions, the care, the service - all of it.
I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap with tahini, garlic sauce, & tomato, & it was absolutely incredible. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, juicy, & full of flavor, but what really stood out to me was the balance & abundance of the sauces. So many shawarma places are dry or sparse with toppings, but this wrap was rich, flavorful, & overflowing in the best possible way.
Their hummus is honestly the smoothest & most delicious hummus I've ever had in my life.
I also tried the falafels & genuinely had to pause after the first bite. They were soft, moist, delicate, & melted in my mouth - not dry or crumbly at all. Truly some of the best falafel I've ever had.
A few weeks ago, hummus was accidentally left out of my order, & not only did they kindly rectify it, but they also added a delicious muhammara dip as an extra gesture. That level of generosity & hospitality really stayed with me.
I actually called the restaurant afterward just to thank them because the food & care were that memorable.
Dunya deserves every bit of the love & success it receives. The place is always buzzing, & now I completely understand why. Incredible food, beautiful people, & service that feels genuinely heartfelt.
10/10. Wishing them continued abundance & success always.
I like how fast the orders are, & everything is prepared right in front of you. The prices are very good too! I tried the chicken shawarma & it tasted great. The toum was a bit too garlicky for me, but still good. The falafel was actually really good! :)
You wont find me writing a review for a shawarma place but the chicken shawarma was something else
I so love this place! me & my husband would always order it from home but yesterday we tried it in the actual store & I don't think we can go back to delivery, it's just way way better & so fresh! the chicken is a must get, my favorite ❤?🥰
The place is always packed & the wait is long. But the chicken shawarma & peach iced tea are worth it !!!! The ice cream is good too !!!!!
Best Shawarma in Montreal by far. I've had the chicken, I've had the beef, I've had the falafel, I've had the fries, I've had the peach tea, I've had the fattouche… I've basically had the whole menu & loved every single thing. Fresh ingredients, amazing flavours & sweet staff. They are always so busy but stay kind & get the food out quickly. I'd give 100 stars if I could.
Also, don't forget to end your meal with an ice cream, also amazing!
Really good chicken shawarma honestly!! The garlic sauce is also bomb. However, there's been times Ive visited in the afternoon & they have ran out of chicken. Also, not really a friendly place to dine in, better to take out, as it's always really busy & there aren't enough tables.
If you're looking for the best authentic shawarma in the Montreal area, Dunya is the place to go! The quality is outstanding, the flavors are rich & authentic, & you can taste the freshness in every bite.
Both the chicken shawarma & the beef/meat shawarma are absolutely perfectly seasoned, juicy, & cooked to perfection. The garlic sauce, fresh ingredients, & generous portions make the experience even better.
You can really tell they care about quality & authenticity. Friendly service, great atmosphere, & consistently delicious food every time. Highly recommended to anyone who loves real shawarma one of the best in Montreal!
We were looking for gluten free options for my celiac buddy, & the person who took our order said they could do the falafel plate, & both mains (chicken & beef) on a plate without the bread or fries (said the fried weren't gf). When our order came there were fries on both plates & the wait staff explained that in fact the fries are gf because there's nothing else cooked in the frier (& no gluten used in the fries). There's definitely a busy kitchen, so definitely a risk of gluten cross contamination, but you can see it all being prepared in front of you. Everything was delicious my celiac bud was very happy!
loveee!! the chicken shawarma is SO good. i normally like beef more but this time the chicken takes it for sure with its toppings/sauce. the fries are super crispy & nice too. very cute spot to grab a quick bite :)
Small Lebanese gem 🤍❤?💚 great beef & chicken shawarma! Good prices! The fries & falefel are a must
Very very nice atmosphere, & the chicken shawarma is amazing, especially with its strong garlic sauce
Hands down best in town, no contest. Meat is juicy, falafel amazing, chicken pita they add a French fry or two super delicious. Fries are perfect & portion is generous, can be shared. Get a Zamalek drink to go with it. Even their homemade hummus is amazing, better than average store ones
Went at around 9:15 PM on Friday night. I wanted beef shawarma, but they were all out. I guess this happens; it was getting late. Decided to try chicken & falafel then; was told I would have to wait 20 minutes for chicken. I waited closer to 25-30 minutes. Arrived home, opened the bag: 2 falafels… what a deception. Furthermore, I thought the falafel was mid at best, no texture, no little crunchy, just mushy. Mint sauce & parsley take over & I can't really taste anything else. Huge deception for a place that has such a hype online.
Great spot for shawarma & tasty boza (ice cream). The atmosphere & workers are very welcoming & generous. Chicken shawarma is much better than beef but both are great price & quality. The falafel are filling & made authentically.
As soon as you walk in you can feel that there's a high level energy. Sophia greeted me with a smile & was very helpful to walk me through the menu. Once you taste the chicken shawarma sandwich you will understand what the hype is all about. I even had their homemade Achta ice cream loaded with pistachio on top & it was absolutely delicious. Thanks to the owner Rami for welcoming me. Definitely recommend!
Get the chicken shawarma w pomegranate molasses & shatta on the side :)
