Overall, reviews describe Dunya as one of the best shawarma spots in Montreal with authentic Lebanese flavor, a simple but high quality menu, and very reasonable prices. The chicken shawarma is consistently juicy and well seasoned, the beef shawarma earns praise for depth of flavor, and the garlic toum sauce is a standout. The falafel is often called the best in town, and the fattoush and fresh sides are regularly praised. Fries are crispy and the homemade sauces and dips are a highlight, with ice cream and peach iced tea winning fans as well. The atmosphere is cozy and clean, with friendly, attentive staff and a welcoming vibe that makes it feel like home. Some notes mention occasional order mix ups with delivery and limited seating, and a few people found portions lighter or the chicken a touch salty, but the overall experience remains reliable and consistently delicious. Dunya is a go to for takeout or dine in for authentic Lebanese shawarma in Montreal.
Loooove this place, great authentic Lebanese shawarma. The design, branding & vibe is on point. Finish it off with their homemade ice-cream. Highly recommend!

Dunya is a Middle Eastern restaurant that offers shawarma & falafel on its menu. The staff is welcoming. We ordered a falafel plate & falafel sandwich & we really enjoyed. Absolutely the best falafel in town. Homemade ice cream. The food is very affordable & delicious! Highly recommend.
Well as a Lebanese who has been away for a while, Dunia is one of the rare spots, if not the only one that truly made me feel like I was back home. From the very first bite of shawarma, a smile lit up my face, like a kid rediscovering happiness, with memories of Lebanon rushing back in every bite. Both the chicken & beef shawarma were perfectly seasoned & authentic, hitting every nostalgic note.
The Ashta ice cream was rich & simple with the delicate flavor of miske, perfectly paired with pistachios. We also tried their homemade peach iced tea, which was refreshing & just sweet enough.
Sometimes, the magic lies in doing things the way they're meant to be, without unnecessary twists or adaptations. I really hope they hold on to their spirit & continue delivering the same level of authenticity & quality!!
Absolutely delicious! Price is very fair for what you get & how good it is. Their falafels are legit. The shawarmas are also top notch. Fries & ice cream are stand outs as well. Staff are friendly & efficient. Excellent experience!
I don't say this lightly, the best Shawarma I've ever had. The ingredients, the knowledge, the love - it's all there. Michael & the rest of the crew were extremely kind & welcoming. The spicy beef shawarma with fries inside is my favorite. The falafel, homemade sauces, & the fries were all amazing. A lot of love & care in everything. The homemade iced tea is perfect.Coming back whenever I'm in Montreal.
I've tried the chicken shawarma, beef shawarma, fries, & falafel plate-pretty much everything on the menu-& every item has been delicious! Plus, the prices are very reasonable.
Great experience! Loved the food-I tried the falafel, beef, & chicken shawarma, & the chicken was my favorite. As a Lebanese, I can say the chicken shawarma is a must-try-it tastes just like the ones back home! Plus, the prices are super affordable-you can get a side of fries for just $3 & a Fattoush salad for $4. Definitely worth it!
