Overall, Daldongnae Korean BBQ in downtown Montreal is widely praised for its high quality meats, a generous and varied set of unlimited banchan, and a lively yet comfortable atmosphere where grilling at the table is part of the experience. Guests highlight attentive, friendly service that remains helpful without being pushy, quick refills on sides, and strong flavors across the menu, with standout items like beef, pork, egg dishes, kimchi stew, and the cheese corn that often accompanies meals. While the concept of cooking your own meat is noted, the staff support helps keep the experience smooth, and many say the portions and value are solid despite some noting peak times can feel rushed, portions can vary and a few dishes can be saltier or less tender. Overall it is considered a top choice for Korean BBQ in Montreal, a staple for groups and a consistent favorite that brings repeat visits.
Everything was great! The staff was really sweet. One of the servers accidentally dropped some dishes on the table but he offered us free drinks to make up for it. I've been here multiple times already & the experience is always amazing:)
Tried it for the first time last weekend. Waiters provide quick service. The banchan are delicious. The alcohol is great, the popsicle cocktail is a genius idea. Also, pretty irrelevant, but was very happy to hear Ateez playing😁
Very bad management team. As soon as i finished eating, the bill came. I asked to split the bill, they said we have no time to do that many in line. I was there for less than 1.5 hours, the duration is 2 hours per reservation, he insisted on us leaving before our 2 hours. He also came to me saying'are you serious bro?' Cause i wanted to stay 10 more mins more than my 1 hour. I could have stayed another hour as per the rules of reservation stated on site. He also came & told me if i dont leave now hell put me on the blacklist. What a shame, & guess what? It is the manager.
That is very bad. I do not recommend this place
Everything was to perfection. This was a new experience for me. Me & my 2 friends enjoy every moment of it. Food was delicious, we got an amazing explanation, as well. Highly recommend going here.
Bonne experience, bon rapport qualité/prix. Les portions de viande sont bonnes. Les à côtes sont « à volonté » au moins 2fois. C'est un endroit propre & le decor interessant

Honestly, the place was beautiful & cozy. I had a really interesting culinary experience & got to try dishes I'd never had before. I never expected to like a cucumber salad so much, I did my research & it's called Oi muchim (Well that sure was good!) The only downside was that it was a bit pricey, & by the end, I was still a little hungry, lol. My friend was full though, so I guess it really depends on the person… we ended up stopping at McDonald's after, just for me😅
Side note: I tried the beef tartare, & it wasn't really for me. I usually like tartare, but this one felt almost frozen - not sure if it's supposed to be that way.
