The atmosphere is consistently praised as cozy, romantic, and inviting, with moody lighting and warm service that makes guests feel welcome every time. Staff are generally praised for friendliness and professionalism, and many diners note reliable kitchen execution and thoughtful chef selections. Dishes such as truffle tuna, wagyu, toro, sashimi and inventive rolls are frequently cited as exceptional, with the overall experience described as among the best sushi in Montreal. Value is seen as solid when quality is weighed against price, though a few guests feel portions are small or prices are high for what is served. A minority report slower service or longer waits and occasional variability in pacing, but most reviews emphasize a memorable, high quality dining experience that keeps locals returning.
Première expérience samedi dernier & ce fut un véritable succès! Le service, la qualité & la fraîcheur sont mis de l'avant. J'ai hâte de faire découvrir ce restaurant à mes proches! La prix sont adéquats en fonction de la qualité offerte.
Excellent sushi & outstanding service. Ken helped us pick our dishes & made fantastic choices-the specialty sushis were our favorite & made the whole experience unforgettable. Will be going again!
As a New Yorker, I still remember walking into Coba Sushi for the first time over a decade ago & realizing immediately that I had been humbled. Call it love at first sight, or first bite. Montreal sushi simply plays at a higher level.
Whether it's a date night or just a solo trip the ambience is moody & inviting.
The service is consistently polished but warm, anchored by an owner who makes you feel genuinely welcome every single time. The standard rolls are unfailingly precise & balanced, the kind of consistency that keeps locals loyal. & the truffle tuna roll remains my personal north star. Rich & indulgent it's pure perfection.
At this point, a trip to Montreal without Coba Sushi feels unfinished. NYC may have the attitude, but Montreal has the edge when it comes to sushi.
So nice experience. I would definitely recommend this place. The menu at this sushi restaurant pleasantly surprised us with its sophistication. With impeccable service, we had a wonderful time there.
The food here is amazing, but the service was a letdown. We waited around 20 minutes just to get our order taken. Once the food came, it was totally worth it - the foie gras is a must-try! The place has a cozy vibe & a nice wine selection. Overall, great food & atmosphere, but the slow service really stood out.
We waited over 20 minutes before anyone took our order. The portions were extremely small, & the $65-per-person menu designed for MTLÀTABLE was far from sufficient-we had to order extra sushi just to feel satisfied. Overall, it's quite pricey for what you get. The service was also disappointing. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant & won't be returning.
