Afficher toutchocolate(100) ice cream(84) cone(20) dipped(20) sweet(17) glaces(15) dark(14) flavor(14) rich(14) hot chocolate(12) recommend(12) vanilla(11)I've reviewed a couple of Chocolats Favoris locations & have reached a conclusion: this is not a place for me. I've tried several menu items & they, to me, all have the same problem: too much coating. While I appreciate that there are several options to choose from, the amount & thickness of the chocolate coating: makes the ice cream difficult to eat (with or without a spoon), makes the ice cream seriously sweet, & totally overpowers the flavour of the ice cream. If I wanted that much chocolate I'd buy a chocolate bar. I won't be returning to this ice cream chain.
The location is set in one of my favorite parts of downtown, & Chocolat Favoris is a go-to spot for anyone with a sweet tooth. Their signature chocolate-dipped soft serve ice cream, paired with a candy-factory vibe, makes the experience fun & indulgent. Personally, I always stick to the'baby' or mini sizes since the ice creams are incredibly rich. It's the perfect place to enjoy a sweet treat either before or after catching a show at Place des Arts. This spot gets popular fast, so don't be surprised if there's a lineup-especially with tourists in the summer. When that happens, the staff can seem a bit overwhelmed.
I usually take 2 baby vanilla ice cream dipped in salted caramel & dulce de lèche (my 2 favorites 😍)
Tried something new the staff suggested me today : the Dubai chocolate blitz 🤤
No too sweet, vanilla ice-cream with crunchy pistachios, chocolate & strawberries 🤤 YUMMY!!!!
The guy (blond long hair, bleu eyes) who served me was amazing as well! 5 ⭐?
A lot variety of topics, you get a lot of ice for the money you pay.be mindful I found them very sweet.
I visited Chocolat Favoris yesterday to claim my free birthday gift (just had to show my ID on my birthday), & it was a fantastic experience! The staff were incredibly kind & helpful, making me feel very welcome from the moment I walked in. It would be great if the company offered a warm option for birthdays that fall during the winter months, as a cozy treat would be the perfect way to celebrate in the cold weather! I chose the maple ice cream with a chocolate hazelnut topping . It was delicious! Rich, creamy, & full of flavor, it was the perfect indulgence. I'll definitely be coming back to treat myself again soon! Highly recommend if you're in the mood for something sweet & a great experience overall.
Fast service! The bébé size was just right for me, the cotton candy might be a little too much sweetness for me but it's good regardless. Great as a snack, they have other dessert options like cake!
I was only able to choose from the 2 vegan options available, with these being the Pumpkin Spice soft serve & the Pumpkin Spice (Citroullie Epicé) Sorbet soft serve. Since I'm not at all a sorbet fan, I chose the Pumpkin Spice soft serve, & had it enrobed in regular dark chocolate (not the 57% cacao dark chocolate). It was delicious - not too sweet, & the pumpkin spice flavor came through delightfully. One of the best soft serves I've had to date, including the dairy ones I ate before becoming vegan.
Fantastic smores hot chocolate, might be too sweet for some but not for me❤️ ice creams are fantastic as well I'm a smores flavour loyalist!😤
Very nice everything-sweet shop, chocolates everywhere, toppings, nuts, you name it. it's there. cones, cups, bowls...everything. service fast & friendly (even at night). seating inside & outside in busy part of old town. Great place to go after dinner. beware, the mini cone is actually more-than-enough for 2 people (really!) & costs 8CAD (4 pp), which is not bad at all. that's 2 scoops, chocolate sauce on top & nuts. good stuff.
Not my favorite but it's really hard to fault them for it. It's high quality stuff, great experience, good service, & you see someone somewhere is trying something. It's too sweet & I shouldn't have eaten it, but that's on me.
Chocolats Favoris - A Sweet Delight My recent visit to Chocolats Favoris was nothing short of extraordinary. Nestled in a cozy corner, this chocolatier is a haven for anyone with a sweet tooth. The ambiance is warm & inviting, with the rich aroma of chocolate greeting you the moment you step inside. I indulged in the Chocolate Blitz Caramel Brownie, & it was a true masterpiece. The brownie was perfectly moist & fudgy, with a decadent chocolate flavor that wasn't overly sweet. The addition of caramel provided a delightful contrast, adding a hint of buttery sweetness that complemented the rich chocolate beautifully. Each bite was a harmonious blend of textures & flavors, making it an unforgettable treat. Overall, Chocolats Favoris exceeded my expectations. Whether you're a chocolate connoisseur or simply looking for a delicious treat, this place is a must-visit. I can't wait to return & try more of their incredible offerings.
Don't be deceived by the long queue! They clear super fast! The ice cream is not too sweet & the chocolate dip is heavenly!!!!!!
It's technically heaven for chocolate lovers. Sadly it was a bit too sweet for us. If you're trying it for the first time I suggest you to go with smaller sizes(Yes! They are enough) overall I would recommend trying it at least once. It's definitely worth it. Enjoy
We dropped in while wandering around looking at the Lumino displays & ordered two of the chocolate dipped cones. I had the petit Classique Noir with pistachio soft serve & the combo was delicious. The chocolate coating was much thicker than the thin shells I'm used to but I loved it. Very rich, & hard to finish the petit size so I would get the next size down next time. My wife had the Caramel Fleur de Sel with vanilla soft serve & it was a bit too sweet & she couldn't finish all of the shell. Definitely worth checking out & would be so great in the summer. Seating seemed limited inside.
Chocolat Favoris is an absolute delight for anyone with a sweet tooth! Located at the Place des Arts, this spot is a gem for those craving a delectable ice cream or looking for that perfect chocolate gift. The ambiance is simply stunning & offers a unique experience that stands out. From their rich, creamy ice cream options to the variety of exquisite chocolates, the place is a haven for dessert enthusiasts. The vibrant setting at Chocolat Favoris makes it an ideal place to indulge & savor delightful treats, whether you're seeking a refreshing ice cream or selecting a special gift. I highly recommend visiting Chocolat Favoris for an extraordinary & delightful experience.
Positioned in the midst of places des festivals, this place seems to have a soft target on tourists. Very gift-shop like feel when you walk in. They have a number of offerings for the sweet-tooth, but they seem to focus on their sundae-style customized ice creams. I got mine in a cup & honestly this thing was such a pain to eat. I found myself struggling to smash through the hard chocolate shell with the weak wooden spoon & it was getting a bit messy. Ice cream was run-off-the-mill machine soft serve – nothing special. All of the toppings were super sweet & of cheap quality to preserve margins. This place will probably continue to thrive due to it’s great location & fabulous marketing, but I was just not impressed by what I ordered.
The staff are lovely, but that's about it. Very poor quality & excessively sweet; not for authentic chocolate lovers (i.e. those who believe milk is a sin). For the price point, you'd be better off with something of quality.
