My review is a bit outdated since my last visit was over a year ago. But before I moved out of the Plateau it used to be my go to place for groups out of towners & special but casual occasions. Food & service were reliably good.

Perfect anniversary evening at Chez Victoire!

Our friend & neighbor Edward, (now living in FL) recommended Chez Victoire for an authentic Québécois experience, & he couldn't have been more right.
We came for our anniversary & left completely charmed.

From the moment we walked in, Emile greeted us with genuine warmth & guided us through an incredibly personalized experience. His knowledge of the menu & thoughtful recommendations made the whole evening feel special & intimate rather than rushed or generic.

The atmosphere struck the perfect balance of cozy & intimate enough for a celebration, yet lively & full of that classic Plateau energy. The food was outstanding: refined, seasonal, & proudly local. Every dish felt carefully considered & beautifully executed.

If you're looking for a memorable, authentic Montreal dinner that still feels personal & welcoming, Chez Victoire delivers. We'll definitely be back & we'll keep thanking Edward for the tip!

We had such a beautiful evening at Chez Victoire tonight! The staff went above & beyond to make us feel special for our anniversary! The food is outstanding & so fresh. We ordered the cheese to start. It was all Quebec cheeses, & all were delicious. We couldn't decide what part of the meal was our favorite, because it was all so good. The strip that it's on is all pedestrian with lots of shopping & bars/restaurants & it's surrounded by residential housing. It was a wonderful evening that we look forward to visiting again.

Nous y étions pour les huîtres à 1$ du mercredi & sommes restées pour manger les arancini de homard du Québec & le faneux chou-fleur... Aucun regret! C'était délicieux & on m'a recommandé un superbe vin corse. J'y reviendrai assurément

It was a truly delightful visit from beginning to end. The meals were excellent, & the space had an incredibly cozy, relaxed energy. The people were all so remarkably sweet & pleasant. We definitely cannot wait to return & enjoy this place once more. It was an altogether lovely & refreshing day that we loved.

Had a wonderful experience here, opting for the 4 course tasting meal. All the dishes were excellent, & i highly recommend the tomato salad, the black pudding & the halibut dishes. Service was excellent, & overall an excellent meal. Would come back.
