Déçu par l'expérience, on est entrés car la décoration est jolie & les avis étaient bons cependant le service était trop expéditif & manquait d'investissement : il y avait des tacos à la carte & on l'a vu après avoir commandé, nous aurions aimé que la serveuse nous présente les plats aussi sur l'ardoise. Pas de proposition de dessert ou autre juste l'addition, apparemment on gênait … il était 21h20.
Pour le prix payé je m'attends à un vrai service, des conseils & ne pas être pressé. Aller au restaurant est un moment de plaisir, & on paye cher ce plaisir..
The food was amazing the best Mexican restaurant I ever had the sopa azteca was the was really good it tasted like a poutine with a tomato base as a soup the sope had the most amazing juicy steak. This review is written by my 11 year old son.
To add to his review, as someone that has been to many Mexican Restaurants in the US & Canada. This is by far the best most authentic Mexican food in Canada, outside of Mexico. We were a large group of 8, with various requests to taste a bit of everything. We were all happy, full & pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. From the cactus salad, to the sopa azteca & the birria tacos. Hands down, a must try if you're in Montreal.
Very good tacos & amazing hot sauce, highly recommended! They need to improve the beer offer & the music because they only had Corona beer & the music was not Mexican. Small details easy to improve
Les tacos & le Margarita étaient très bons. L'endroit est vraiment joli & le service sympathique. Mais nous avons été terriblement déçus par la guacamole. Ça ne goûtait pratiquement que l'avocat, comme si on avait oublié d'y mettre d'autres ingrédients habituels pour rehausser le goût. Surtout que ce n'était pas donné.
Authentic tacos with great flavors & service. Also loved the decor. Would come back! Very good!
Les plats étaient bons, ca se voit que c'est fait maison, par contre déçue de la quantité. J'ai pris des tacos, il y avait juste la viande sur 4 mini tacos, sans aucun condiments à côté... & ca a couté 20$. Les prix sont exagérés par rapport aux quantités! C'est dommage. J'y retournerai pas personnellement.
By far the best Birria tacos I've had ! Food was authentic & fresh felt like I was eating straight from the streets of Mexico , service & staff super kind & welcoming ,highly recommend La Chalupa 10/10:)
birria tacos were excellent so was the consomme everything seasoned nice. only problem is the portion . if I pay around 30 bucks with a drink , I expect to be full ... I was still hungry after that but all in all tacos were very delicious.
