Ceramic Café-Studio is a unique franchise! A ceramic painting studio, a coffee shop and a boutique all in one place. Since opening in 1997, people gather at Ceramic Café-Studio. Whether you are a beginner or an accomplished painter, alone, with family or friends, you can come and paint original ceramics, which are both personalized and practical. The famous paninis are well known, the smoothies are delicious and the coffee is comforting. The Ceramic Café on St-Denis Street in Montreal is the first Ceramic Café that opened in Quebec in 1997. Since 2007 they are located at 4338 St-Denis Street, corner of Marie-Anne near the Mont-Royal metro. Previously they were located on the other side of the street at 4201 St-Denis Street, corner of Rachel Street. The owners and creators of the concept, Paola Cacopardo and Gilles Geoffrion, are franchisors of four Ceramic Cafés. Ceramic Café Montreal has two floors and can accommodate up to 100 people. The team of Ceramic Café Montreal goes as far as Gatineau to offer ceramic painting activities to groups such as schools, day care, summer camps, office parties, showers, children's parties and other occasions. Belle expérience au Café Céramique. C'est une activité relaxante, parfaite pour se changer les idées. Le personnel est gentil & les céramiques sont prêtes en une semaine. Petit point à améliorer : les breuvages pourraient être meilleurs.

Staff was OK. Showed almost no enthusiasm? Seemed like they all didn't want to be there. We were there on a Wednesday. Place was clean. Had fun decorating :)

Cool expérience mais l'ambiance des employés est déplorable. Tu sens une tension ambiantes, toutes les serveuses semblent être à un enterrement: aucun sourire, aucune amabilité. Bref c'était cool 1 fois mais c'est tout

L'accueil & l'expérience est vraiment superbe. Seule problème, à la réception de la céramique, un bris sur une partie de cette dernière. Il propose de la garder pour la réparer & me rappeler pour venir la récupérer une nouvelle fois. Jamais je n'ai eu d'appel, je me suis déplacé à deux reprises avant de la récupérer. Aucun geste commercial du fait de ce contre temps. Un peu dommage tout de même. Je n'ai pas eu ce soucis avec celui de Terrebonne.

Great experience. I've been there 3 times & it definitely shows that they care about their customers.
One of my ceramics cracked when it was cooked & they gave me a free coupon.
Then they served me the wrong drink & immediately took it back at no charge!

Nice place to go for an intimate date or with friends if you're looking for an artsy experience. It's original & you have a lot of pieces to choose from.
On the other hand, we stayed for almost 4 hours & the waitress only passed by our table once at the beginning, did not check to make sure things were ok or if we needed help, so about the pieces you will be really on yourself.
If it's your first time I'd recommend you to pick something small since the bigger the piece, more time will be spent there & you pay by hour basically. Good thing is that they give a students' discount.
Only that would have made me rate it a 4 star, but at the end we had an unpleasant time with the cashier, she really switched her mood when she saw we weren't going to tip (she was actively looking at the terminal to check what tip option we would choose from), & for obvious reasons we didn't feel at all like tipping.
I have to add that we also had to wash our own brushes at the end.
