The famous paninis are well known, the smoothies are delicious and the coffee is comforting. The Ceramic Café on St-Denis Street in Montreal is the first Ceramic Café that opened in Quebec in 1997. Since 2007 they are located at 4338 St-Denis Street, corner of Marie-Anne near the Mont-Royal metro. Previously they were located on the other side of the street at 4201 St-Denis Street, corner of Rachel Street. The owners and creators of the concept, Paola Cacopardo and Gilles Geoffrion, are franchisors of four Ceramic Cafés. Ceramic Café Montreal has two floors and can accommodate up to 100 people. We popped in to decorate a ceramic piece (options abound: vases, piggy banks, candle holders, & other temptations), but after much deliberation, we committed to the noble mug. Three & a half blissful hours later-yes, 3.5-we emerged victorious, slightly paint-splattered, deeply focused, & wildly proud of every tiny detail. Time truly flies when you're deciding whether that leaf needs one more shade of green.
Since it's also an actual café, you can sip, snack, & craft simultaneously. It's creative, cozy, & very enjoyable.
Perfect for a chill afternoon, a wholesome date, or an activity with kids (just… maybe don't bring 80 of them at once).
It took a week for us to get our finished product back, & it was really reasonably priced!
All in all, a delightfully hands-on experience that feeds both your inner artist & your caffeine dependency. Highly recommend.
The greatest place ever. It was so fun & cute to go & paint some pottery. It was such an amazing experience, & I will totally be going again. 10/10 would recommend for a date.

Nice place to go for an intimate date or with friends if you're looking for an artsy experience. It's original & you have a lot of pieces to choose from.
On the other hand, we stayed for almost 4 hours & the waitress only passed by our table once at the beginning, did not check to make sure things were ok or if we needed help, so about the pieces you will be really on yourself.
If it's your first time I'd recommend you to pick something small since the bigger the piece, more time will be spent there & you pay by hour basically. Good thing is that they give a students' discount.
Only that would have made me rate it a 4 star, but at the end we had an unpleasant time with the cashier, she really switched her mood when she saw we weren't going to tip (she was actively looking at the terminal to check what tip option we would choose from), & for obvious reasons we didn't feel at all like tipping.
I have to add that we also had to wash our own brushes at the end.
C'est vraiment une activité chouette à faire en couple, famille ou entre amis.
J'ai pris ma place sur tuango donc on a payé 11,5 pour deux plus le prix des pièces & d'une limonade donc environ 55$ pour deux, je trouve ça raisonnable. On est resté environ 3h sur place !
Plus qu'à attendre une semaine pour récupérer nos petites créations.

Super expérience du début à la fin. Leur équipe est très chaleureuse, les options de céramiques sont très nombreuses & les tarifs vraiment bas. Notre projet a été livré à temps comme prévu. Je recommande fortement!
Le Céramic Café Studio est un excellent endroit pour peindre de la céramique. Il y a énormément de choix de pièces à peindre & une large gamme de peintures disponibles.
Cependant, il est important de noter qu'il faut réserver sur place & attendre environ 2 heures pour obtenir une table. Vous pouvez en profiter pour vous balader dans la grande rue commerçante à proximité.
Le rapport qualité-prix est très bon : avec pourboire & taxes, j'en ai eu pour 26 $ au total. Il faut par contre attendre une semaine pour récupérer votre céramique cuite. Le résultat est beau, mais je suis un peu déçue car ils ont écrit quelque chose sur le pied de ma pièce, ce qui l'a abîmée & se voit sur le côté.
Malgré ce petit bémol, je recommande quand même l'expérience, c'était vraiment sympa !
As much as I liked the activity, the staff was horrible. The numerous times they've asked if we've paid despite having the transaction done several seconds ago, & in front of their own colleagues. Honestly felt like they were hoping to con their customers in paying for the "members," that they claimed did not pay even though they've been paid for. The other problem I noticed is that after receiving the ceramics was that all of the pottery were chipped at the bottom, & the paint that was originally there before giving to the employees were suddenly removed after the final product was received. So clearly, you're paying a hefty amount for a shitty job from this facility. I wouldn't recommend going here again, if anything find another place to enjoy this activity.
Superbe expérience, équipe très sympa, consignes claires, large choix de céramiques & de couleurs. L'équipe est souriante & toujours prête à donner de bons conseils. Je recommande cette activité à 100% que ce soit en famille, entre amis ou en couple.
Il y a 2 semaines maintenant, nous sommes allés au studio pour une activité artistique en amoureux, une grande première pour chacun d'entre nous. Ce fut un moment très agréable que je recommande vivement à faire solo, en famille ou entre amis!
I've gone twice to this place & have enjoyed them both times. Whether with friends, on a date or on your own, I think this is a fun activity. There are plenty of paint color options as well as ceramics to choose from. All tools are provided. I definitely wish they had more variety in brushes & of higher quality, maybe an option for those more skilled or for more detailed work. I would recommend bringing your own brushes. The place can get a bit warm too, wish it had better ventilation. As for the food & drinks, I can't say as I have never ordered, but I've had no issues bringing bubble tea in. Staff are nice as well.

I absolutely love this place. The staffs are so welcoming & sweet. I went there with my buddies last week. We had so much fun & made wonderful memories. I definitely recommend it. 🩷
it's a really fun activity to do with friends! the vibes in the cafe are very good. Do recommend getting a reservation as it gets busy in the afternoon.
Un endroit sympa entre amis ou en famille. J'ai vu aussi des anniversaires pour enfants organisés. Donc plus ou moins calmes selon les jours . Beaucoup de choix de céramiques ! Certaines vendeuses expliquent mieux que d'autres les choses à éviter de faire : comme 3 couches mais pas beaucoup plus (qu'on a su en entendant d'autres vendeuses à d'autres tables... ). Il y a quelques choix pour boire & manger. Je recommande comme activité !
Un large choix de pièces à peindre & de matériel, beaucoup de couleurs de peinture. Le personnel est très agréable & conseille. J'y ai passé un super moment, je recommande :)
