It is rarely a good sign that a restaurant charges for bread, but you'd get away with it if you serve fresh bread at extra charge. Mine was stale & looked small compared to the bread other people got...
I thought their fish was mediocre. The steak, on the other hand, was top notch. The other dishes were ok. Dessert was a complete miss.
bonne cuisine. mais je déconseille l'onglet. bien que bon, la quantité était vraiment trop légère...losque le nom du plat s'appelle :'l'onglet' ...on s'attend a au moins la moitié dune piece de viande...pas deux tranches de quelques centimètres. bon service. a noter que nous aurez deux heures. overall, si vous avez les moyens, cest chouette. si vous voulez vous faire plaisir pour une occasion bien spéciale & que vous faites une entorse a votre quotidien ... cest trop cher pour ce que c'est.
J'ai adoré ma première visite au Casavant! Bon rapport qualité-prix, nourriture excellente & service très agréable. J'y suis allée au dîner & je répéterai certainement! A noter que l'espace est rapidement bruyant.

Belle découverte ! Petit resto, grande cuisine. On y mange des produits de saison, frais, délicieusement agencés. Les plats sont généreux. Coup de coeurs pour le service, ils étaient tous, très attentionnés & à l'écoute. Le vin, la bouffe, l'espace ! On y retourne assurément.
Incredible experience from start to finish! Made a reservation for 8:30 on Saturday (28/06) & was lucky to seat on a perfect table facing their beautiful window! The restaurant was full but it wasn't noisy at all, the decoration, the cutlery & dishware were all so pretty. Besides that the lighting was great, cozy without being too dark.
Every single dish was a hit! The ail des bois butter was fantastic, the oysters so fresh & briny, the scallops with chorizo still haven't left my mind, & the morels stuffed w chicken liver & cooked in yellow wine was ridiculously good!
Our server was fantastic (I think his name was Sam), extremely attentive, & knowledgeable helping us choose the best sequence of services, making a great wine pairing & always making sure everything was going well, he definitely made our experience at the restaurant even better! I can't recommend casavant enough, I'll definitely be coming back :)

I recently dined at Casavant & had a superb experience. The food was exceptional, with a wonderful diversity of flavors that delighted my palate. The group menu option was a highlight, allowing our group to share & enjoy a variety of dishes. The attention to detail in both taste & presentation was evident. Overall, a delightful dining experience . I highly recommend Casavant !
I loved loved loved this restaurant! I ate at the bar & the service & food were both incredible. It's also a really beautiful space. I would go all the time if I lived in Montreal.
