breakfast(97) cafe(86) brunch(56) coffee(43) recommend(40) fresh(29) barth(28) toast(24) egg(23) tasty(23) cozy(21) waffle(19)Food was excellent. Service was slow during the lunch hour rush. The seating area was a bit cramped.
While the presentation of the food was great, I was disappointed in the quality of it. The biggest disappointment was this 7$ matcha that was of very bad quality, you can tell by the colour. The matcha powder (?) kept dropping down & I had to keep mixing for it to mingle back with the milk. The waffle were not crispy but rather like cake or very soft cookies. I had a hard time cutting the eggs up as well.
Horrible service... Waited 20 minutes when the restaurant was .. empty??? No glasses for our water until we asked, which didn't get given to us until a long time after asking... Asked for napkins, same deal, no attention from the servers. No menus when sat down either.
Food was pretty good
Incredible food & sweet service. Order at the counter & they bring everything to you wherever you sit. Huge patio. Standard breakfast price for 2 people but the food quality & portions are elevated over what you usually get for this price.
There is a lot of wait time due to lack of ability to deal with outdoor seating your meal must be ordered & paid for before you sit in the patio. That caused a lot of back up. Our breakfast arrived quite quickly after we sat down but our drinks didn't arrive until we were nearly finished. There orifinal location across the street was much more intimate they are having so.elarge growing pains in the new larger version of themselves inthe new location. Got to say that there are so many places to have an amazing meal in this city that we willgive this one a miss for brunch in the future.
Not the best Caribbean island we've been to, I think we'll try Jamaica next time.
A surprisingly wonderful breakfast spot we just happened to find north of our hotel. In MY opinion it certainly rivals the traditional old Montreal bakery cafes north of Mount Royal...& is easier to get to!!!!
Open early at 8 a.m. to late until 11 p.m. & very close to McGill this would be a constant if I was a Montrealer.
Lovely , open & plenty of seating options including a HUGE patio which must be lovely in warmer months.
The food is exceptional with generous portions of lox & avocados in what I believe are St. Viateur bagels & a delicious fresh salad (which I have never had for breakfast but was delightful!!!).
Servers were friendly & efficient & it was a pleasure to speak personally to the manager who actually WORKS there with his crew!!!! Refreshing to see!!!!
Thanks to all at Cafe St. Barth for this terrific Montreal meal & memory!!!! I'm sure this would be even prettier at night & in WARMER weather!!
Produits frais. Une belle grande salle éclairée. Personnel très gentils.
Endroit charmant & relaxant. La nourriture est délicieuse. Le service est rapide & chaleureux.
If you're not a fan of noisy cafés or crowded bars, this place is a great choice. It's spacious, & the tables are well spaced out, so you don't really hear the people next to you. The drinks were good quality, & the staff were attentive without being overbearing. It's a really nice spot for a relaxed, chill afternoon. They also have a terrace, which would be perfect for enjoying a drink outside in the summer.
Probably one of my favourite brunch spots near campus & the owner is super sweet!
The wifi is so unreliable which makes it difficult to study & stay here for a long time. I bought a meal & a drink thinking I'd stay for a few hours but it's just impossible get work done without good wifi. Probably won't return because of this. Milton B was somehow way better :
Lovely breakfast spot. Bright, charming, boho aesthetic with tasty breakfast options.
Drove from PA to Montreal, 8 hour trip. Found this gem & OMG the food, service & ambiance was delightful.
The taste was like a party in your mouth..
The Owner & chef came to our table, share a few stories & adventures & the reason for the name'Cafe St Barth'
If you are in the area, you must stop in.
Muita espera e as garçonetes demoram bastante pra te alocar na mesa quando claramente há meses disponíveis. Porém, todas super simpáticas e a comida é ótima e farta.
