Overall, Café Chez Téta is celebrated for fresh Lebanese flavors, warm hospitality, and a welcoming vibe that feels like a home away from home. Reviews highlight handmade manouche, hummus, dips, and the cardamom or rose latte options, as well as fresh bread and house made pastries. While the atmosphere is praised as cozy with a bright terrace, a few notes mention busy weekend crowds causing short waits and occasional service gaps, and some delivery experiences were not perfect. Many describe it as one of Montreal's top Lebanese spots, great for brunch, lunch, or coffee, with popular items selling out and reservations not available, so plan accordingly.
We arrived here for lunch on Saturday afternoon, it was quite packed but we were able to get seated in 15 mins.
The waiters/host were very welcoming & friendly
I ordered lahm bi ajin, zatar bread, falafel roll, coffee, hummus, cardamom latte & rose+pistachio cake... Everything tasted very fresh & yummmmy!!
It's not my first time at Chez Téta in the Plateau, but this time I tried their new manouché, labneh with fresh tomatoes & makdous (eggplants with walnuts & spices)& it was absolutely amazing! It's not on the menu, they're offering it just for this month as a trial, & honestly, it's a big success. The mix of creamy labneh & the crunchiness of the eggplants makes this manoucheh really special. As always, I had my favorite, the cardamom latte. The service was great, the staff super friendly, & we didn't wait long. Overall, another lovely experience at Chez Téta.

Excellente ambiance, excellent service & excellents cafés & nourriture. Le latté avoine à la cardamome, la limonade maison & la manouche furent délicieux. Il y a tant d'autres choses du menu à essayer. Nous reviendrons assurément. Merci !
Teta is one of my go-tos when I visit the plateau! Their food is always worth the wait - especially in spring & summer when the Plateau is doing its thing, you can enjoy their seating outside. I recommend trying any of their manousheh along with a Lebanese flavoured iced latte - cardamom is my fave!
Had breakfast there twice, each time different manoucheh: one with egg, bacon & tomato, one halloumi & pesto. Excellent cardamom latte. The staff were the best. Seems family run. Everyone so pleasant & helpful.
J'ai eu le plaisir d'essayer ce resto : latté à la cardamome & soujouk de Téta. C'était délicieux & j'y retournerai lors de mon prochain séjour à Montréal :)
Favorite café in Montreal. Vibes are so cozy, you are always greeted with wide smiles, & the food is delicious. I look forward to my cardamom latte from one visit to the other.
This restaurant was an absolute highlight of our trip! The staff were wonderful (chatted with the owner & she was lovely!), food was incredible, & atmosphere very lively but relaxing. Everything tasted so fresh & homemade... such delicious flavours. We had the fattouche, half cheese/half za'atar & falafel manoucheh, as well as a perfect cardamom latté!
Belle ambiance dynamique & accueillante, mets délicieux (manoush kafta fromage tomates & aïoli, café cardamome, brownie), & un nom qui donne chaud au coeur :). Un vrai trésor!

One thing I know is I can never travel to Montreal without eating at Cafe Chez Teta. Everything about this place is amazing. The food, the atmosphere, the employees! My favorite: The cardamom latte & their manoushes (Can't decide which one!). Where I live in the US we don't have anything like Cafe Chez Teta, Montreal is very lucky! Definitely will visit every time I come to Montreal!
The service was great, very friendly & informative. The food was outstanding! So full of flavour & perfectly prepared. We got the halva latte & cardamom ice coffee as well. Both coffees were delicious & you could clearly pick up cardamom spice & slightly bitter, sweet & creamy halva in both, respectively. All around awesome experience eating here.
Long wait times to get a table & tight space inside but the food is delicious & service excellent! My absolute favourite is their iced cardamom coffee!
