Review Summary

Byblos Le Petit Café attracts praise for a warm, cozy atmosphere and a Persian inspired menu, with many reviewers raving about the dizi, the feta omelette breakfast, fresh bread and jams, and the option to share a variety of dishes at brunch, making it feel like a comforting, signature Persian cafe experience. The service is described as friendly and knowledgeable by some, but inconsistent and slow during peak hours by others, with occasional disorganization and delays in serving dishes and even cleanliness concerns raised in a few visits. Prices divide opinions as well, with some calling the value fair while others find the options overpriced. The ambiance, decor, and openness of the space are repeatedly highlighted as a major draw, along with the ability to work or relax in a spacious setting, though consistency in flavor and execution can vary from visit to visit.

I love this place as a cafe strictly. The food is, as most people have mentioned in reviews, lackluster. Good chocolate cardamom cake, but I probably wouldn't have supper here again. You really want to stay for the atmosphere, but the service is always terrible. After returning multiple times, it seems the staff begins to ignore you after coming by once, & will not clear your table until you leave...dirty plates with bones were left on our table after we were done eating & were not cleared for 30+ minutes even though we wanted to stay for tea afterwards. Consistently poor service & rude waitstaff, unfortunately.

Last night I went to Byblos & honestly, the Dizzy was far better than anything I normally cook; so good that I'm seriously considering stopping cooking Dizzy at home & just eating there instead.
The taste wasn't just good; it was impeccable. The balance & fragrance of the ingredients were on another level, something I simply can't recreate at home. Every bite took me straight back to my childhood & my grandmother's cooking.
This is an absolute must-try.

Very good place to discover persian food. The services & staffs are great, especially when you need advices. The place can be quite packed during rush hour so I suggest to come earlier, before 11 AM.

We had Sunday brunch. The standard breakfast menu includes a beverage, bread of some sort, jam & potentially eggs. You can however order from anywhere in the menu including a variety of egg-based pies like quiche & prepared spreads like hummus, eggplant or beet-based concoctions that come with different types of bread for dipping. Gluten free bread & pita is available on request. The dishes were delicious though simple & more filling than they look. This is a good place to go for a group to share a few different dishes & get a good sampling.

Total fail

If you're used to Western breakfasts like omelets, English ham & sausage, & Mon coco etc, try a traditional Iranian breakfast.

Byblos Restaurant is named after a city in present-day Libya with a 7,000-year history, once ruled by the Persian Empire.

Naan, feta cheese, dill herbs, olives, & radish, along with a cup of sweet Persian tea, make up the essential Persian breakfast. The warm, freshly baked bread & naan, paired with homemade jam from an Iranian mother, & the aromatic flavors of ginger & rose petals, create a rich & complex flavor.

Add scrambled eggs between pita bread for a complete & luxurious Iranian breakfast.

Encore : dommage. J'ai voulu aimé ce resto.

The food was mediocre & overpriced. While paying at the counter, we noticed the food prep area looked quite unclean & not very sanitary, which was disappointing. Overall, it wasn't what I was hoping for, & I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Hidden gem in Montréal! This is such a lovely & cozy restaurant. Whether you want to grab something to eat or just drink something, this is a beautiful place to do so.

There's a nice variety of dishes & desserts. The service is kind & quick. & the atmosphere is just top-tier - the decoration is great & the vibe is so chill.

Definitely recommended!

This is such a beautiful place but the food is atrociously bad & low quality. I hate how an espresso there is like $6 too.

I was there for a quick bite & we stopped because the ambiance was nice.
They serve small plates & the food is very flavorful. I'm thinking of going for a full meal.
