Hands down my favourite spot in Montreal! I tell literally whoever will listen that Byblos is the best. The interior is beautiful & so cozy, & the food is incredible. Both the dinner service & the brunch are to die for. HUGE recommend!
I've eaten here twice now & it has been delicious both times. I went on a busy day my first trip, & we put our names on the list & wandered around. The cafe is situated in a beautiful neighborhood, so it is easy to pass the time. The second time was a quiet day & we were sat immediately. The Iranian tea is amazing & beautifully served, & my favorite food is the feta omelet.
On a eu une mauvaise impression de ce resto. Le serveuses ont pas été assez accueillantes & on nous a jamais demandé si on voulait qq chose ou si tout était à notre goût etc. (ex. Notre serveuse n'a jamais rempli nos verres d'eau pendant notre présence).
En parlant des repos, tous les plats ont été froids & j'avais l'impression qu'ils avaient été réchauffés dans le micro-ondes & avaient perdu la chaleur rapidement.
Je sais que nous comme iraniens sommes pas décontractés par la bouffe mais on s'attendait un bon service & des plats de haute qualité culinaire tel qu'on mérite. Merci !

One of the older Persian-style restaurants in Montreal, known for its authentic recipes & distinctive atmosphere. The cuisine is an interesting fusion, traditional Persian flavors presented with a more Western-style plating & presentation. The overall setting & décor also reflect this blend of cultures.
The food carries a strong homemade character, with the kind of depth & care you would expect from traditional Persian cooking. The location is also very good & convenient.
The only weak point was the customer service, which felt less welcoming & patient than expected!
Still, it remains a memorable place for Persian-inspired cuisine in the city.
Such nice people working here. The atmosphere is very calm & sunny. & the food is amazing with lots of vegetarian options & also they provide gluten free bread if needed
Decor boheme, belle musique du monde & bonne bouffe perse (iran). Je recommande le plat du jour pour le souper ou encore l'omelette au feta pour le brunch. Ils ouvrent toutes les fenêtres l'été.
I love this place as a cafe strictly. The food is, as most people have mentioned in reviews, lackluster. Good chocolate cardamom cake, but I probably wouldn't have supper here again. You really want to stay for the atmosphere, but the service is always terrible. After returning multiple times, it seems the staff begins to ignore you after coming by once, & will not clear your table until you leave...dirty plates with bones were left on our table after we were done eating & were not cleared for 30+ minutes even though we wanted to stay for tea afterwards. Consistently poor service & rude waitstaff, unfortunately.

Ce resto a bien changé au fil du temps. Petites portions avec un mauvais mais très mauvais goût, le café imbuvable & la propreté du resto laisse à désirer. De plus, les propriétaires ne sont pas réactifs aux différents commentaires que nous envoyons tous. C'est terminé pour nous, nous irons ailleurs.
50$ pour deux oeufs & un thé, pas de refills d'eau, les serveurs discutent entre eux au bar au lieu de servir les gens, on ira ailleurs! C'était un de mes restos déjeuner préférer il y a quelques années, la qualité, le service & le prix on bien changé.
Last night I went to Byblos & honestly, the Dizzy was far better than anything I normally cook; so good that I'm seriously considering stopping cooking Dizzy at home & just eating there instead.
The taste wasn't just good; it was impeccable. The balance & fragrance of the ingredients were on another level, something I simply can't recreate at home. Every bite took me straight back to my childhood & my grandmother's cooking.
This is an absolute must-try.
Very good place to discover persian food. The services & staffs are great, especially when you need advices. The place can be quite packed during rush hour so I suggest to come earlier, before 11 AM.
