pizza(41) recommend(39) drink(26) cocktail(26) pasta(26) lunch(23) attentive(23) bar(22) felipe(20) salad(18) music(18) highly recommend(17)This is at the Hilton on Decarie. I was there last night with a group of girlfriends for dinner & we had a very pleasant experience. There was a mix-up with our reservation, but the manager resolved it quickly. The service was good & I liked the ambiance & elegant vibe. We had no issues with parking. I enjoyed the meatballs & foccacia.
Nice food & nice ambiance however a couple of minor things soured my experience. 1) the absolutely unnecessarily loud music. I get it, the staff were feeling festive but this was too much. My dining partner & myself were barely able to hear each other & had to keep shouting. 2) I requested a slice of tomato to be added to my Burger & they made a big fuss about how they cannot do that & then said... they don't have tomatoes (really? in an Italian restaurant?). 2 silly reasons to ruin what otherwise could have been a much better experience.
I went for an early lunch with a girlfriend of mine, & was quite disappointed in the quality of food, considering the price point. I ordered the bruschetta, & the bread was stale. As my main course, the salmon tartare, which tasted like it was frozen & defrosted, not fresh at all. My bill came out to $120 including tip for two glasses of wine, bruschetta, & tartare. I don't mind paying that if the food is worth it. In this case, definitely not. I personally will not be going back to eat there. Very disappointed.
The pasta are not tasteful really boring, didn't like the service because my friend pay her plate & she didn't even eat her plate
Lunch was great. Complimentary dessert was most appreciated. The wilted plants are bad fung shui.
Overpriced & left hungry Calamari portion is tiny (to share) Pasta as well dessert was not good (brownie)
Some of the worst Italian/Fusion we've had in decades. Calamari - over fried & to salty. We had to ask for something to dip it in. They brought what looked like day-old thousand island dressing. I had the Cesar salad with dry chicken breast. Over half of the serving was breadcrumbs. My wife had the seafood pasta with lobster bisque sauce. Tasteless with overcooked noodles & a grand total of 3 medium-sized shrimp. Waitress asked if everything was okay. I asked her if she really wanted my honest opinion. So I informed her of the above as we just couldn't eat it. The night manager said it was a new menu they were trying out & appreciated our feedback & took care of it. People, you sometimes have to be honest with the wait staff. When a meal doesn't taste good or isn't up to expectations, you have to sometimes let them know.
We had the best dinner here! Andy, the sommelier, took great care of us suggesting amazing red & white wines. We ordered the fungi pasta, vegetarian pizza & a large pesce crudo & loved everything. We even ordered a second pasta to take home! The music & vibe was very hip. I loved the playlist. Great atmosphere. We may even go back here tonight, that's how much we loved it!
Way overpriced for ordinary Italian food. Worst part is the tiny portions. They charged $36 for a tiny plate of tagliatelle. When I complained they offered me a free drink. I went home hungry.
The staff is great & food preparations are quick. Great atmosphere!!!
Food was just ok. Service was good. Attentive & efficient. A bit overpriced, but that's to be expected at a hotel restaurant I guess.
Went to this place multiple times for the last 12 months & every time I had Breakfast there only. Currently, they offer new menu & I must admire that quality of food, variety of dishes became poor. Additionally, it was first time, but the restaurant was filled with the smell of burned fat from the kitchen. I would recommend administration to take care of the environment people work in & consider to return some dishes from previous menu.
Pizzas exceptionnelles, cocktails originaux & service très agréable. Le cadre est plaisant avec le bar central. Très bonne table.
Overall a 3.5 due to the food. Had the salmon (fish of the day) & burrata starter. Lacked some seasoning or at least the offer of Fresh cracker pepper would have probably made the entire difference. Presentation was good & so was the food portions. The place is nice with parking convenient underground & nice lighting. Not too loud either & the overall ambience was good. Tiramisu was great & they mentioned it was large but when it came it was really a piece for 2-3 people. The staff working the night were extremely helpful & attentive. Style of restaurent is different & welcoming compared to the rest in the area . Good spot & I would give it a second chance as the food wasn't terrible but it just needed a slight kick more & easily a 4*.
We picked this place because the ambiance was nice & expected excellent food quality & service especially since it was inside a hotel. The atmosphere was nice. We were a group of 9 people. 4 of us ordered pasta, 4 of us ordered pizza & 1 of us ordered the salmon. The salmon was excellent BUT too bad the asparagus was old & stringy (not edible). One of the pizzas was burnt (black) around the edges & underneath -- we asked the waitress about it & she said it was good to eat. Not happy with her response, we asked for the manager --> as soon as we showed it to him, he said it wasn't acceptable & that he would replace it right away. In general, the food was good but not amazing (except for the salmon). We were very surprised that the waitress told us the burnt pizza was good to eat instead of replacing it. Since we dined at the restaurant, we get free parking upon presentation of the receipt at the front desk of the hotel --> to our surprise, the voucher they gave us didn't work. We came in 4 separate cars & only 1 out of the 4 vouchers worked. The other 3 did not. We got a message saying the voucher was not valid & asked us to pay $12, so 2 of us paid it. The last one of us went back to the front desk to find out why & they told us that the voucher they gave us is only valid for 5 minutes!!! So they had to re-validate our voucher. This time the voucher worked but the gate did not open, so an employee showed up & asked if we were from the hotel or restaurant, then he scanned the gate to open it for us. We could not believe that they only validated the vouchers for 5 minutes. They said it was to prevent scammers; fine, but then at least they should have advised us ahead of time so that we wouldn't be shocked & frustrated when trying to exit. Overall we did not have a good impression on our first visit; not sure if will return
