My friend & I went on a Friday evening, less than 45 minutes from close. We were quickly seated & reassured that we could still eat. (We were still polite & didn't overstay our welcome).
- We were served by Courtney (or so says the receipt). Exemplary service; She was friendly, had great recommendations & made sure we had everything we needed.
- To be clear, the food was also more than I could've hoped for. The pasta was to die for (recommended by Courtney), the quality of the calamari was great, & the carrot cake felt home made in the best way.
(My friend is a burger lover, had the Wagyu burger & was delighted. She's a foodie with a long hitlist & still mentioned this was the best she'd ever had. That every ingredient felt thought out & fresh, down to the mayo that came with the fries.)
-The prices were also very reasonable. I ate the priciest pasta, Calamari, a cake & a soda can for ~$92. Nowadays, it's hard to get something this amazing for under $150.

Brama is, without a doubt, the best restaurant I've ever been to in Montreal! As a big foodie, I've tried countless places, & nothing compares to the incredible flavors & quality here. Every dish is thoughtfully prepared, perfectly balanced, & bursting with taste. I can confidently say it's my #1 favorite spot in the city! Hands down! If you love food that truly excites your palate, Brama is an absolute must-try!

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, looking for an alternative to our usual Pizza 900 & we're so glad we did! It's just a five minute walk from home, & it's quickly become a favorite. We've ordered several times, & the quality has been consistently excellent. The pizzas are perfectly cooked with fresh, high-quality ingredients. My sister tried the gnocchi & couldn't stop talking about them. A great local gem we're happy to have discovered!
I went there tonight with some family for a joint birthday dinner, & I was flabbergasted.
The food is absolutely delicious. We had burrata, arancini & polpette as appetizers, to start. It's ACTUAL burrata, & not what most places claim is burrata when it's just a piece of fresh mozzarella, & it's slightly expensive but the portion size plus the actually what is advertised is crazy good value.
The arancini were magnificent, crunchy, tasty, full of cheese, in a wonderful sauce. The polpette were crazy tender & very flavorful. The sauce the polpette comes with is different from the one that comes with the arancini, which shows great attention to detail.
Our mains were just as delicious, the pizza dough had delicious crunch & bite, the ingredients were top notch, & the absolutely killer hot oil was the highlight of the whole thing, so much that we asked our waiter what was in it & he actually showed us (I could barely believe it!). The other guests had different pasta, & they were all out of this world. The gnocchi were soft & pillowy, the Mac a la Gigi was spectacular, & the fetuccine really tasted home made.
All in a small cozy space that is homey & comfortable.
& the best part? For the quality of food that you get, the PRICE is impossible to beat. Honestly, it's very affordable food. Almost too affordable, & most likely has to do with the location, which is a bit weird right at the line where VSL goes from industrial to residential, but more power to them, since they price their food very reasonably. In any other part of town our bill would've been 50% more expensive.
We had a great experience here! Our server Courtney was lovely, she had great recommendations & knowledge of the menu. The cocktail that was their version of a spicy margarita was delicious. All the food we had was great & came out quickly. Would definitely recommend to anyone that loves quality Italian food.
This amazing spot, overnight, has become my new favourite. Staff is welcoming & friendly, with warm service as soon as you walk in (very important, as first impressions count for everything) but then followed by excellent food, top quality ingredients & special attention to presentation & recommendations are on point. Our lovely & kind server, George, was very pleasant & recommended the seafood pasta - one of the best I've ever had. Restaurant is clean & still feels new, I am already looking forward to going back. ❤? Keep up the good work, guys! You have a top notch establishment on your hands! 🙌🏼

I do not remember the last time I wrote a review for a restaurant . Went to dinner with my wife at Brama. One of our friends recommended it.
Being of Italian descent, I don't often eat at Italian restaurants & often times get disappointed.
Started with grilled octopus & kale salad.
Probably the best grilled octopus I ever had. Kale salad was perfectly balanced. Both portions were very generous.
Then we ordered the mac alla Gigi pasta & grilled salmon.
Hands down one of the best grilled salmon dishes I have eaten . The pasta was outstanding.
All the food was served hot & ingredients extremely fresh. Price point very reasonable in today's market for the quality of food received.

Brama has quickly become my favorite Italian restaurant in Montreal. The food is incredible, both in taste & quality. The service is great & owner is very nice!
I would recommend sharing a bunch of plates to try as much as possible. Everything is so delicious, from the starters to the desserts.
My favorite is the cavatelli al guanciale - & that's coming from a girl who doesn't usually like mushrooms. Also their oysters are the best I've had!
My new favorite neighbourhood gem! This has been my go to place for a while for a great dinner with friends. Everything from the service to the food is top notch. Love how its a minimalistic decor, how you can hear others speak unlike most restaurants.
The quality of the food & prices are amazing!

My partner & myself tried this while we were in the neighbourhood. She had cavatelli: fantastic blend of flavours, well cooked & generous portion. Myself I had the prosciutto pizza with olive instead of parmesiano: fantastic thin dow crunchy yet not chewy with quality ingredients, & they properly put the prosciutto on top of the arugula after exit of the oven to keep it as crudo & therefore flavourful as possible. Cherry on the cake, staff is friendly & quick.
I cannot put into words how spectacularly outstanding this place is in every conceivable respect. Everything I am about to say doesn't even scratch the surface of what you can expect from this place. My girlfriend & I have gone 3 times in just the last 7 days because we have been positively floored by absolutely everything we have had. At this point we're just going down the menu & are continuously getting baffled by how exceptional every new dish we try from this place is. There is truly no restaurant I have ever tried that exudes such passion & love for delicious food of the utmost quality as Brama. Every dish is made fresh, in house with sourced ingredients of the utmost quality imported directly from Italy. The pizzas are absolutely to die for made on fresh homemade pizza dough the Italian way as God intended. The pastas are all freshly made in house from scratch & lord have mercy can you taste it. The noodles are always perfectly aldente, the gnocchi are fluffy pillows of pure ecstasy, the radicchio salad still has me & my girlfriend fantasizing about it, & the homemade pistachio cheesecake is just inexplicably exceptional. Even the coffee is among the best you'll have. John & the team take everything you love about Italian cuisine & do it leagues better than what should be humanly possible. Though the food is worthy of a master's thesis in Italian culinary perfection unto itself, I cannot post this review without highlighting with the utmost gratitude & respect the absolutely outstanding staff & consequent service you will get here. Everybody who works at Brama is exceptionally kind, respectful, professional, provides fast service & clearly has passion for the restaurant they work for. I have never seen anything like it. You've really outdone yourself John. Though we only met you this week, you will always have our support. Keep doing what you're doing & never lose that passion. The world needs more chefs like you.
I very rarely write reviews, however I just had to comment on how amazing this restaurant is. The very first Italian restaurant whose dishes tastes as good, dare I say even better, than my Nona's cooking. The high quality & freshness of every meal at Bramas is something you can no longer find these days. From the appetizers, to the drinks, to the main courses & desserts, everything blew our minds away. You can taste the care & love for good flavourful food the chef puts into his dishes. Wishing this business a long fruitful life, I have now become a fan of this restaurant & chef !!
