Always impressed by their quality & service, which makes it my favorate spot for bakery in Montreal. Despite 15cm of snowfalls, the staff greets you with a smile. My pain au chocola made my day. They have a cool wrap for mobility & strollers.
I wish the in store eating area accommodates more ppl.
i work close to the bakery & i ALWAYS stop by for a snack before my shift. i love the olives focaccia & the sandwiches. this is my local & favorite bakery for warm & tasty treats.
Came here as part of a food tour & my only disappointment was we couldn't buy more foods to sample (without taking arms full of breads & pastries home!). We ended up ordering some items to our Airbnb before we left Montreal this morning because our food tour ended late & we couldn't go back to purchase anything else!
What we did eat on the tour was delicious though! The Champignon chocolate blanc & vanille was absolutely divine. Would absolutely recommend getting one if you are nearby & also trying a few other things. Please be advised the bakery has moved just down the street but it's well posted on the old building :)
We will definitely be back next time we are in Montreal!
I've heard a lot about this famous bakery, so I tried baguette & chocolatine. The baguette was a little gummy, in general, nothing remarkable. The chocolatine was not a good experience, it didn't taste fresh, it was not crispy, it felt dry & the chocolate didn't taste good. The service is acceptable. Not coming back.
Amazing selection of breads & other baked goodies! They have almost everything you can think of, from the classic pastries & breads to some remarkably innovative combinations. I was incredibly tempted by everything in the display case -- especially since the bakery smells like butter & sugar -- but eventually settled on their white chocolate brioche. The chocolate is mixed into the batter to give the entire roll a slightly sweet flavor, which is delightful when paired with the already soft, pillowy, & buttery brioche. I can't wait to go back & try more of their selection!
Best bakery in Montréal hands down! 🥖✨
Boulangerie Guillaume never disappoints. I picked up the pain brioché & the miche de levain both absolutely divine! The champignon à la vanille & the pralinée pastries were next-level delicious, such unique flavors done perfectly. Also grabbed the pain fesse au fromage… SO good, cheesy, fluffy, just wow. Everything is fresh, flavorful, & made with so much love. A must-visit for any foodie in the city!
Meilleure boulangerie de Montréal, sans hésiter! 🍞💛
I absolutely love Guillaume Bakery! I went there with my nieces, & they became obsessed with the pastries. I also grabbed some croissants for my husband, & he's super picky about croissants, but these are his absolute favorite! Their sourdough bread with dates is my absolute favorite. We literally finished the loaf in one day-it was that good. We keep coming back because everything is consistently delicious, & it's become my go-to bakery. Sometimes I order from Uber Eats when I can't make it there in person. I can't recommend them enough!
Guillaume Bakery is a must-visit for anyone who loves traditional French baking. From the moment you step inside, the aroma of freshly baked bread & the sleek yet cozy ambiance set the tone for a great experience. Their bread selection is outstanding, & I was blown away by their almond dessert, it was absolutely divine! Perfectly sweet, with a texture that melts in your mouth, it's a treat worth savoring. While the bakery doesn't offer a full dining-in experience, & there's only one chair available (not ideal for couples or groups), it's still a great spot to pick up some incredible items to enjoy elsewhere. Parking can be tricky as it's street-only with no private lot, so plan accordingly. What makes Guillaume even more special is their thoughtful details. They have a shelf stocked with unique products like coffee, pasta, maple butter, & more. There's also a fridge filled with cold drinks, Greek olives, & other goodies to complement your bakery haul. Their inclusive & friendly atmosphere, especially welcoming to individuals with special needs, adds a wonderful touch. If you're looking for high-quality baked goods, plus a little something extra, Guillaume Bakery won't disappoint! THIS IS ALI NOOR & THIS IS MY REVIEW
i really like their demi miche sourdough (especially the halloween version this week!) it's super airy & not too sour. I just think it's a bit ridiculous they don't have a bread slicer as such a popular bakery....keeps me from going back to buy the loafs very often honestly.
Good assortment of breads & other goods, they don't have a bread slicer which is a shock for a bakery. Slightly expensive but they always have day old options which are well priced. Not a great baguette though
Does Guillaume double as a penal colony? Why do so many people who work here seem so unhappy & unfriendly? That might answer why they are replaced so quickly. I must have gone through 30 flat-effect, little-beard dudes...I mean, if they were cool dudes I'd love a bit of tude, but these guys are just...Sunnier dispositions were had at their brighter prior location down the block...now I continually dread communicating, through glass, with whomever has the misfortune of serving my expectation of being greeted...normally? Maybe it's the tunnel lighting, that strange metallic smell (no bakery smells less like a bakery), & the persistently unpleasant chewiness of its tasteless baguettes...this place was awesome...needs a re-revamp...
My favorite bakery in town! Their white chocolate mushroom is a must!
Good sourdough bread ( not super ) lots of good tasting bakery option. I recommend this place.
Delicious, fresh, made daily pastry/bake shop. Unfortunately they just have outdoor seating & just two picnic tables, but they have lots of bread options from brioche to blueberry tarts, to croissants, to cinnamon bread, multigrain bread, baguettes, & more & more & more! Don't be confused. There is one entrance for the bakery & another couple doors down for the actual kitchen where they bake. Guy said it happens often.
One of my favourite bakeries to get fresh bread!! THE PERFECT bread for toast & one of my fav focaccia to pick up in town! their pastries are always great as well & they're hours are super convenient. Even with being open early until pretty late, the bread is always fresh every time i've visited! It's also super cool to see the bakery part of it a little further down the street :)
