After watching the popular Netflix series "You are what you eat" this Vegan sushi resto was our first trial at vegan style food. OMG, truly a very true great find. the food was delicious & delicate. You can see the details put into everything from the decor of the food to the taste. Do we really need meat ? We came out full & it the experience was above of what we expected. Price was very fair for the Decor, service & food quality. We tried the Labrador tea which is very nice touch to our dinner. def recommended to try. We tried the Salmon Konjac which is a take on the real salmon. super! We ordered the Fruit dessert Maki to finish the night & it was a great finish. def recommend to come here to try! Our journey couldn't have started any better for healthier & more conscience food sourcing. Hats off to the staff here that made the experience a true 5 star. Now let's all head over to 11 Madison Park in NYC. lol.
I'm disbelief at how good. Probably the best Sushi experience I've ever had. & it's vegan. Clearly vegan sushi is here to stay, & this is a must try this place. We do still eat fish but this is certainly a big argument to not. Also drinks & cocktails were amazing.

Les meilleurs sushis que j'ai mangé depuis longtemps. En plus ils sont vegan. Quand mes amis ont reçu leurs assiettes ils ont dit: je croyais que c'était vegan non? Hé oui, c'est vegan mais ça paraît pas. Seul problème, je trouve qu'on était serré un peu, & le service était un peu long. On avait un spectacle mais j'imagine qu'on était pas les seuls, c'est peut-être pour ça.
Bloom Sushi has great food & the staff are so friendly & attentive! The only complaint, & why I had to give this place 4 instead of 5 stars, is like most downtown Montreal restaurants, the tables are super tiny, there is very little room, & the chairs are uncomfortable. By the end of dinner, my knees were hurting, & I felt "squeezed in" during all of dinner. Better off getting takeout.
Satisfaite de mon expérience! J'ai surtout apprécié la disponibilité d'un menu sans gluten. Les sushis sans gluten sont rares, les vegan le sont encore plus.

Super bon ! Le goût des sushis au fau-saumon, que j'ai aussi goûté en sashimi, sont super bons ! L'ensemble est très bien équilibré. Le service est très bien, la serveuse & responsable sont très sympathique & commerçante. Pas d'attente, à notre arrivée les sushi commandés à emporter étaient prêt.
Got the chef omakase deluxe which was overall delicious. The rolls were all nice & creative, especially the mushroom one. The miso soup was a little off because the mushrooms in it were very sweet. The fried dumplings were nice especially with the sauce. Service was efficient but not as engaging as other places. Decor was pretty. Cocktails were so-so. The Kawai just tasted like strawberries & the whiskey one tastes like pears. The latter was well decorated though. The crystal wasn't bad.
My experience at this plant-based sushi spot was a mixed bag. Having tried other vegan sushi restaurants in Montreal, my expectations were high, but unfortunately, this place fell short. The sushi seemed to linger on the kitchen bar for too long, arriving at our table dry & hard to chew.
The Mr. Miyagi & spicy crab crispy rice cake were a letdown, with an overwhelming saltiness that made it impossible for my partner & me to swallow. The two futomaki rolls we ordered were equally disappointing in taste & presentation.
On a brighter note, the Inari crispy rice & gyoza were the saving grace of our meal. These dishes stood out as flavorful & satisfying. Drinks were good.
Really nice decor, some staff overly nice while others less so but overall good, the food I found yummy though my partner got sick, but it might just be a sensitive stomach to deep fried & mushrooms options. A bit expensive so maybe just for a bite before a night out.
