This is a lovely, elegant restaurant tucked away in an alley a short distance from Piazza San Marco. The food is simply exquisite. For those who are interested in tasting a variety of historical reproductions of centuries-old dishes, I highly recommend the tasting menus (lunch or dinner). Each dish is prepared with utter mastery & served as a work of art. Paired with a good wine (of which there are many to choose) this is a divine experience for the palate. The staff are very polite & professional with extensive knowledge about the food. I highly recommend this restaurant on your trip to gorgeous Venezia.
Fantastic meal with great wine pairings. The dessert was one of the most delicious I've had.
Our experience here was terrific. We had a reservation for dinner two days in advance, so there would be no issue with sitting. The sommelier took his time explaining the wine pairings, & I got to learn about the Coravin wine preservation system. We truly enjoyed our dinner experience.
Propably the best restaurant in Venice. Amazing food. Fantastic wine pairing. Friendly & skilled service. A nice mix of modern cuisine with traditional venetian Recepies. An interior like you traveled back in time. We took the surprise menu & were delighted
We were a large group & the restaurant created a 'mini-menu' for us with wine pairings. The flavours were unbelievable & the service excellent. They put us in a private room which was beautiful. Overall, incredible restaurant.
The service was amazing. Our server was very nice & the sommelier was very helpful in picking a wine. The food was very fine dining & very reasonable for the price. We had the squid ink pasta, beef tongue, anchovies, & other food.
My favorite meal in my three weeks in Italy. The miso cod is one of the best things I've ever eaten. Ravioli was also incredible. Lasagna was delicious but the cheese perhaps a bit too rich. The olive oil that comes with the free bread is so good that I asked the waiter about it (turns out you can buy it from their shop for 28 euros). & the free sea bass appetizer was delicious.
I was less impressed with: 40 euro bottle of Barbera wine; scallops; beef fillet...these were decent. & the desserts didn't really blow me away. Favorite was the lavender panna cotta.
Nice bonus: fast WiFi. & sounds weird to say, but the forks you get with the entree are some of the nicest-feeling forks I've ever held, lol.
Divine dining experience in Vienna
5/5 Intimate outdoor dining
5/5 professional & friendly service
5/5 Somelllier was knowledgeable & recommend a wine we thoroughly enjoyed.
5/5 Gorgeous presentation. Delicious food. We enjoyed the scallops the most. Ravioli was a close second. For dessert we devoured the most tasty tiramisu I have ever experienced.
Make reservations. This restaurant is full for a reason.
