A formal, gourmet restaurant with classical music, where the staff are constantly attentive. It wasn't for us, it wasn't what we were looking for, so you need to know what to expect. We had one dish & a cocktail, that's all. The flavour is there, it's well executed, but the quantity isn't there, as is often the case in this type of restaurant. The price of the dish is fairly reasonable given the standard of the establishment & the quality of the food. However, the price of a simple small bowl of vegetables is outrageous! €12! For 3 pieces of broccoli, 3 carrots & 3 pieces of fennel, & I'm not exaggerating about the quantity. This really has to stop.

Food 2/5- I just don't really understand the flavor . The starter it's too sweet fr the onions. When seafood it's too sweet I don't think it's working.
Main course, rice with prawns. Really nothing special.

Fine dining at its best.
This restaurant serves perfectly prepared pasta, the appetizer was also fantastic.
&, oh my, the dolce was heaven on Earth.
One may say it's a bit pricey ristorante, but for the food of such quality, I would say it's totally worthy.
The staff was amazing, we tried to speak in our poor Italian, but they all knew English decently.
If you want to have some good dining experience in Venezia, this place is the one I definitely recommend!
Exceptional take on traditional local cuisine. Taken aback by the quality of the ingredients. Stumbled across Bistrot De Venice on the Michelin Guide, & it certainly belongs there - perhaps with a star. The Sommelier was wonderfully knowledgeable with two great suggestions; Extensive wine list also. Dining outside was a true immersive experience. A fantastic balance between haute cuisine & local dining.
I visited here for both lunch & dinner. The cuisine was not only of exceptional quality but also beautifully presented with artistic flair, showcasing the finest culinary traditions of Venice, enhanced by their contemporary interpretations of classic Italian desserts.
The service, however, was the reason I HAD to return. David provided thorough explanations regarding the preparation of each dish & the origin of the ingredients, demonstrating extensive knowledge of the wine selection. His recommendations from wine to dessert options were all on point.
We stopped by for lunch - chose the restaurant in advance after looking through the menu, which stood out with its interesting & refined dishes. We were looking for something beyond the usual tourist fare, & it definitely delivered.
The food was excellent: well-balanced, flavorful, & thoughtfully presented. Portions weren't large, but everything felt deliberate & well-composed - you can tell there's real attention to detail.
Special thanks to the staff. Service was polite, attentive, & never overbearing. A particular mention goes to Fabio & Giuseppe - both were incredibly kind & made the atmosphere warm & relaxed.
A great spot if you're looking for a calm, high-quality lunch in the heart of Venice, with a focus on flavor & care.

To say we saved the best to last, does not serve this restaurant justice…
This was our fourth, & last evening in Venice, so I wanted somewhere special, & it did not disappoint!
The blend of location, decor, atmosphere, service, & quality is wonderful!
The knowledge, & proudly explained description of each item was superb!
Yes, it is high class, but the waiters were not in the slightest bit snooty, but very friendly & happy to share a joke!
I mentioned to the waiter that I had found it odd that the best Tiramisu I've ever had was actually in Spain, & not Italy… he politely explained that Tiramisu is always subject to interpretation… & then serves me with what was not only the best Tiramisu I've had, but the most amazing dessert, full stop!
A truly wonderful culinary experience, thank you… absolutely the correct decision to have booked for our last evening in beautiful Venezia!
From our week of dining around Venice, we truly saved the best till last. We walked past Bistrot de Venice a number of times & commented how lovely it looked.
This was a true fine dining experience & the options in the 4 course tasting menu were just perfection. We were offered 3 options per course to choose from. To get the best out of it me & my partner ordered different courses (taste & to see on presentation).
The food was incredible! So much food! The photos below show the high quality food experience provided.
The service was the best we had received in Venice. The waiters were all so welcoming, offered guidance & took time to explain each course as it came out. Really great service from all the team & that didn't go unnoticed.
It was just perfect. We actually did the later dining so from 9:30pm we received 20% off our total bill. The tasting menu is around €110 per person for the 4 course menu. ❤?
The ambiance was elegant, with a sophisticated décor & a cozy atmosphere. Our server Mr. was attentive, knowledgeable, & friendly.
We ordered the Lasagna & Ravioli both of which were expertly prepared & presented. The flavors were bold & well-balanced.
The standout dish for us was the Lamb which was cooked to perfection.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience.The quality of the food, service, & ambiance was exceptional. While it was pricey, we felt it was worth the splurge for a special occasion.'
Excellent food & service! We wanted to dine at a high quality & as authentic as possible restaurant in Venice for the three of us, & Bistrot de Venice absolutely delivered. We all picked 2-3 courses & dessert & all of them were great. The'Lasagnetta with beef ragout' was exceptional, a must have! Service was also exceptional!

Our first Michelin star experience ever & on a whim for a special bday lunch for my daughter. The risotto was an experience by itself, the fillet was on point & we ate the entire dessert menu. They had a €55 courses menu but we opted for the a la carts lunch options. Definitely not a kid restaurant, but they weren't busy & exceptionally friendly & accommodating. Our kids devoured the lasagna & desserts. The outstanding service, wine pairings, charm, & high quality food were beyond expectations. For a tucked away spot, this is a hidden gem.
I have no words to express the feeling of having dinner at that exceptional place! Simply perfect on every level: food, service, attitude, approach, place, everything! The most delicious food I've ever tasted, together with my beloved ones! If you plan to go to Venice & you don't plan to visit the restaurant, better don't go at all! 3 Michelin stars are far not enough for the quality of these amazing people!
Big let down. The food was excellent quality however the flavours just did not blend well in most dishes. It was a fine dining experience in terms of service. Yet the atmosphere was almost as bland as the food.
This restaurant should already have a Michelin star! Amazing service & amazing quality of dishes. A full story behind each dish & each ingredient. The staff was very nice & careful to all the details. Best quality-price restaurant in Venice!

Totally recommended. In a great city with highly variable quality restaurant food & experience this place just nails it. It is classic high quality european dining. The menu is there to challenge & please as you wish with both traditional venetian & typical modern dishes. (e.g. Beef tongue or duck). Cooking is sophisticated. The service is exceptional. I'd imagine the tasting menu is exceptional but we went a la carte. The decor is warm & feels special. It's a bit expensive but not outrageous or in any way exploitative & worth every cent. You could visit with your partner or friends or family. Plently of options & price points. Special shout out to Stephane the somellier. A true partner to you & the restaurant to enhance your dining experience; give him free rein! I'll be back every time I come back to Venice. I rarely give 5 stars for anything.
Best meal on Italy trip. I am a foodie & amateur chef...left so amazed at the quality, detail & uniqueness of the dishes. This may be the best dining experience I have had.
