This is the best, most consistent restaurant in Montreal. The staff welcomes everyone as if they are regulars. The food is exceptional, especially the pasta with veal meat sauce & the pasta with clams. We live in Vermont, but go to this fabulous Montreal restaurant as often as possible.
This is a nice place to eat with great food & one of the few places open for lunch. My husband had the pasta with the muscles, clams, lobster, shrimp, calamari, & scallops.....I had the green pasta in a cream saffron sauce with the small shrimp in the pasta & both of these dishes were amazing. This is one of the few places with birra moretti in Montreal which is my husband's favorite. The owner & waiter were nice & helped us with a great selection on lunch & they make you feel like family. I highly recommend this place.

Decided to come here before the hockey game & very glad we did! Small restaurant & quite busy but a very warm atmosphere. Our meal was excellent. We had a salmon special & a pasta feature. Next time I want to try the risotto. The mini meatballs they offered after sitting down were amazing. Just as good was the staff. Very attentive & friendly. I think regulars coming in they know but we felt just as welcome. Will definitely come again when back in town.

We look forward to our return for salad & homemade sausage starters to a grappa finish, with wonderful pasta & main courses throughout the evening, bravo!
Genuinely incredible food. I got the lamb meat sauce pasta & it was very rich, super flavourful, really highlighted the lamb. My partner got the squid ink saffron pasta. Saffron can be a hard flavour to get right but it was PERFECT. Profiteroles were delicious, & so was the foie gras. Service was excellent. 10/10, hope to come the next time we're in Montréal.
Wonderful food, carbonara & osso buco. The service was attentive & friendly . I really appreciated that they offered half orders of pasta which was perfect for me.

What a fabulous evening. The food was superb & our server, Marilyn, was so friendly & knowledgeable that she made it an event we will long remember. From the anti pasti selections of mozzarella di bufala & insalta di roughetta, to the mains of ossobuco & pasta with seasonal veggies everything was prepared & presented under the watchful eye of Marilyn. We'll be back.

My family ( party of 6 ) just returned from a 5 day vacation in Montreal & we enjoyed a fantastic meal at Bis. Aldo, the owner, is THE best at making you feel like family. His recommendations were perfect. Melt in your mouth Veal Chop, rib eye steak, pasta bolognese..all were sensational!! The adults enjoyed multiple glasses of wine. The grandkids enjoyed the dessert. We were still talking about last night's dinner this morning. Don't miss this place on your next visit to Montreal! We can't wait to return!!
The service was excellent! Generally, the food was nice. My shrimp & pasta were superb. My wife's Osso Buco was tough. This was the second time she ordered this dish at Bis & it was the second time it not tender & soft the way it is supposed to be. She will not be ordering this dish here again.
Also, when serving certain cocktails, it is important to insert one large ice cube rather than a bunch of crushed ice. We ordered two cocktails to start that were difficult to drink for this reason.
Otherwise, we do enjoy this restaurant & will come back.
We had a nice sidewalk table for two & thoroughly enjoyed the food & service. Serge was wonderful. He paid attention to all the little details & we felt very looked after. My wife had the gnocchi & raved about it while I savoured every bite of a duck dish with blueberry sauce served with pasta. It was a real treat to eat here & enjoy the wonderful Italian dishes.

Service was excellent food very good Pasta was not as hot as I like but there was s quick reaction to recover
I would recommend if you enjoy modern Italian cuisine
Excellent meal. My wife & I both had angel hair pasta with truffle oil & Parmesan to start. Awesome. I had the linguine with clams in a tomato sauce. Perfect. They did a special order of huge grilled scallops with vegetables for my wife. Did not see it on the menu but the waiter said that if she would like scallops then no problem. They were beautiful in taste & presentation. We will certainly be back again for more "groceries ". I highly recommend this restaurant.
Food; 2 dishes , salmon & veal with mushrooms,very good, two pasta dishes bad.
Srvice; OK except see comment re being rushed.
Ambience very good except menu font too small for comfort.
