I found best seafood fried rice in my life. I visited Saturday night & really crowded. & I chose to go, taste, volume & price are amazing.

The quality of their dishes has gone down! Ordered their rice noodles with beef (classic Cantonese dish) & beef was tough like leather . They cut down on everything & increase their prices. Save your money & go somewhere else!

Oh, Beijing Chinese Restaurant in Montreal! Where do I even begin with this culinary marvel? From the moment we stepped in, we knew we were in for something truly... memorable.

The General Tao chicken was, without a doubt, a masterclass in... well, chicken. Each piece was a testament to the chef's bold vision, perfectly capturing that elusive balance of'chicken' &'sauce.' & the vegetable fried rice? A symphony of grains & what I can only assume were vegetables, each grain standing proudly on its own, refusing to be overshadowed by any mere flavor.

Then came the breaded shrimp - a revelation! The breading was so robust, so confident, it almost made you forget there was a shrimp somewhere inside. A true triumph of texture. & the egg rolls? Crispy, yes, undeniably crispy. They certainly held their shape, which is more than one can say for some lesser egg rolls.

But the pièce de résistance, the crowning glory, was the Chinese broccoli. It was green. It was leafy. It was... broccoli. A minimalist's dream, showcasing the raw, unadulterated essence of the vegetable.

In summary, if you're looking for an experience that challenges your perceptions of'delicious' & leaves you with a lingering sense of... something, then Beijing Chinese Restaurant is an absolute must-visit. Five stars for daring to be so uniquely... itself!

We tried this place today on our trip to Montreal. Unfortunately it was pretty bad. Honestly, Panda Express taste better & that's not saying much. The steamed dumplings were disgusting with a smathering of really sweet peanut sauce on top. Next was the Noodle dish we ordered, noodles were ok but the beef tasted gamey & was really tough. Then we ordered Chicken Fried rice, had a terrible after taste. Last, we ordered the General Tao Chicken, tasted way too fried & had too much breading, almost like a chicken nugget with sauce. We payed $72 Canadian including tip. Do not recommend this place, we did not even complain, we felt kind of bad since hardly anyone was in eating there. The good that came after this is since we barely ate any of the food, we were able to give it to a homeless man & made his day.

Excellent shrimp fried rice & very good service. The fried rice has amazing wok flavor. The wonton soup was only ok. It's nice they serve hot tea & give fortune cookie for dessert. Reasonable price.

We had stir-fried lobster, fried rice, & tofu eggplant . All are tasty. The service was excellent. The price is reasonable compared to NYC & LA. We enjoyed our dinner time.

Tasteless, oily food & automatic gratuity applied even for takeout? Fried rice was OK

Went here expecting a cheap meal by restaurant standards (given it looks like a takeaway or cafe), but felt a little cheated. Two main courses only with plain rice & two cokes ended up costing over $80. The real sting in the tail was the 18% tip added (for service allegedly) to printed bill - not optional but forced upon you. By "service" did they mean the waiter that didn't speak English & looked angry when you asked him a question about the menu? I doubt the locals get that tip put on their bill! The food was tasty enough but no better than a decent takeaway. The inside is functional but thats about the only positive thing to say. Formica tables from the 1970s & a mop that looked filthy & hadn't been changed in years (brought out to clean up a spill) was rather off-putting. The food arrived VERY quickly which was good in one way, but so fast it was troubling. Too fast! The place has a strange system of taking orders- you have to fill out an order form left on your table & hand to waiter. Good luck filling it out because its far from clear what the columns on the form mean. The only waiter doesn't speak English if you need any advice. So all in all, could I recommend? Unfortunately not. If you're going to charge restaurant prices & compulsory tips you need to act like a proper restaurant & this place has a rather grim interior with some cheap tables & plateware, basic fare & is clearly intent on fleecing compulsory tips from the tourist. The staff are all smiles but they clearly know what they're about as they must make a decent living with minimal investment in the business. Probably been operating this way for decades. My fortune cookie at the end said I was going to "live in luxury". It couldn't have meant my visit to the Bejing Restaurant.
