An inexpensive, good value option in Montreal's Chinatown.
Food was fine, spring/egg rolls a bit greasy however & chowmein needed a bit of a boost seasoning wise, good size portions. Free tea was nice.
Staff were friendly & unlike other reviews tip was not added automatically.
I'd revisit
Was hungry & desperate so we tried this place as it was one of the few places in Chinatown open on Thursday nite at 11:00pm. Like others have said, we should have looked at the reviews first. My Cantonese chow mein was bland & cooked in way too much corn starch & goopy! My wife's Pad Thai was equally bland like it was simply tossed in some chkn. Glad I asked for some hot sauce which made a slight dent in the flavour, but they didn't even give me soya sauce which would have also helped with the flavour. Overall wouldn't recommend. Sorry folks. For a Chinatown restaurant I expect better!
The dining experience was fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious, & every dish was full of flavor. The waitstaff were very warm & friendly.
I came here for dinner with friends & had a wonderful time. All ingredients taste fresh with well-matched flavors. The restaurant has a warm & cozy atmosphere, & all staff are friendly. The price is affordable with satisfying portions. It's a wonderful spot for evening gatherings. I've recommended it to my friends & will definitely come back.
Incredible food. The lobsters were delicious, & the stir fry were done expertly. In par w great restaurants in Hong Kong. The AC also very strong a bonus in summer. Great for large groups
Great little place! Just came back after years, still great food, warm & welcoming service. General Tap chicken really yummy!
We arrived at our Montreal hotel around 10 p.m. after a long day of traveling & were absolutely starving. We happened to walk past this restaurant & decided to give it a try, & it ended up being one of the best meals we had during our trip.
The standout dishes were the sizzling beef, the moo shu chicken, & the steamed turbot. The turbot wasn't even on the menu, but when I asked if they could prepare a steamed fish, they happily accommodated my request. It was fresh, perfectly cooked, & one of my favorite dishes of the evening.
The only items we wouldn't order again were the sesame beef, which had more breading than we prefer, & the fried wontons.
We'd definitely come back. They had photos of so many other dishes, including oysters, displayed around the restaurant that made us want to return & explore more of the menu.
