Dry, bland, & one of the dishes was nothing like the photo, so much that I wondered if they sent the right dish.
Dishes were not authentic & not fresh- the stir fried mushrooms had some weird sourness that was not from cooking sauces. However, staff is friendly & place is clean
This long-established Cantonese restaurant is truly a local gem! The dishes are authentic & generous, & the service is excellent. The owner mentioned that the restaurant has been around for nearly 40 years, & maintaining such quality is really impressive. I'll definitely keep coming back!
Went recently for a late-night meal & had some of the best Chinese food I've had in a long time. The staff were very attentive to my party's shellfish allergy, which we really appreciated. They also had a great selection of vegetarian dishes-the General Tso tofu was absolutely incredible! I'll definitely be back.
The quality of their dishes has gone down! Ordered their rice noodles with beef (classic Cantonese dish) & beef was tough like leather . They cut down on everything & increase their prices. Save your money & go somewhere else!
From Florida where you can't find real Chinese food, at least in the Tampa area. Nothing but take out.
We found the Beijing restaurant because it was close to our hotel & thought we'd try it. We were pleased. Very good egg rolls & tasty wonton soup. We ordered a dinner for two which was easily enough for three, reasonably priced & all the dishes were pretty tasty. Yes, they could improve the decor a bit. LoL
Very good service, probably from the owner himself & he had a great personality.
Went with some friends on a Sunday night - we were sat down quickly! We ordered a variety of dishes to share & all the food was really good - we especially loved the general tao tofu & the dish with tofu, eggplant, & pork. Only downside is the waiters are kind of rude (asked for water & they were visibly annoyed) but the food is so good that it's not that big of a deal. I wouldn't recommend if you really value attentive & friendly service, though. Would come again regardless!
Old Chinatown setting with prompt order to table. Food wise, skip the duck, it's too moist on the body like braised duck, & too dry on the drumsticks. Other dishes taste slightly above average.
Chose this Asian restaurant based on its location close to our hotel & the highest review of several Chinese restaurants. Excellent choice! Reasonably priced, friendly service & very good food! Menus in French & English with lots of pictures which lead us to select a few dishes we might have initially passed on. Would recommend
The warm service, delicious dishes & the fact that we were served quite quickly after placing our order left us really impressed. We were also given a complimentary pot of tea upon arrival which was nice. Definitely recommend!
Always love coming to this restaurant. The staff are friendly, the meals are delicious (it is traditional cuisine & dining, with plenty of selections), it's definitely a recommendation if you want a good hearty meal with family. My favorite as an appetizer is the fried wontons & spring rolls, as for the dishes, they're all so good it's hard to choose.
We had a great time, though we had a couple hiccups. The vegetable hot & sour soup came with pork & shrimp, which the meat eaters found delightful but wasn't so great for the vegetarians with us. The main dishes took quite a while to arrive - also difficult for the vegetarians since they hadn't eaten the soup. But in spite of that, we did have an enjoyable time.
This is the best Chinese food restaurant in Montreal. The portions are great, & the food quality is outstanding. Everything is freshly made & piping hot as it hits the table. This place is so good we ate there twice. I recommend the General's Beef, General's chicken, & lemon chicken. Both of these dishes are stellar. This restaurant was located within walking distance from our hotel on St. Catherine St.
I am a realtor & I often eat out & entertain my clients. We ordered via "uber eats". Total bill was over $145. Part of the order had a soup. Specifically asked for soup cups or bowls, plates & utensils & they completely forgot all of it. I honestly could not justify "value for money". Fried rice, 2 chicken dishes (which barely had chicken but full of veggies), 2 shrimp dishes (barely had shrimps but full of veggies), egg rolls (which was not fresh at all & horrible) & vegetarian hot & sour soup for whopping $26!!! like really? wow!!.. & our total was $161 & change.. seriously!! It was raining, if not we could have gone to a beautiful fine dining place probably would have eaten more & paid less?
