Unprofessional Staff, They added 20% tip on my bill without asking me & my fault that i only realized after i paid.
Tips is not something that is a MUST regardless, it's based on the quality of service.
This long-established Cantonese restaurant is truly a local gem! The dishes are authentic & generous, & the service is excellent. The owner mentioned that the restaurant has been around for nearly 40 years, & maintaining such quality is really impressive. I'll definitely keep coming back!

If you are looking for value, skip this place. It is very overpriced & live up to its longtime reputation as the restaurant that give small servings for prices that will give you more quantity elsewhere in the area. Two months ago I made the mistake of going back for a take-out order & serves me right to be handed the second time dried out pieces of meats chicken this time, previously it was a case of some dehydrated morsels of seafood as if they had too much excess protein supply in their kitchen & not enough orders to use them while fresh. I know everything costs more now post-pandemic but the other restaurants around that I have continued to patronize are thankfully maintaining their quality & quantity at still reasonably raised prices.
Amazing atmosphere, excellent service & super attentive. The pineapple chicken & fried rice top quality. I count the days to comeback. :)
The quality of their dishes has gone down! Ordered their rice noodles with beef (classic Cantonese dish) & beef was tough like leather . They cut down on everything & increase their prices. Save your money & go somewhere else!
Used to be a good restaurant although owners(managers?) were never even close to friendly even though I had gone there regularly with my family for years. Quality kept going down, owners remained indifferent, my favorite was when I informed them the shrimp was off, & they told me it wasn't! If a customer thinks the shrimp is bad, it's bad, it's not negotiable!!! Anyhow I don't go there anymore & neither should anyone else. There are other better or similar restaurants around. Clue, mostly only tourists go to Bejing these days.
Exactly what we wanted during our layover in Montreal. The food was delicious & full of flavors. & came out so quick! Would recommend to anyone craving some good quality Chinese food & short on time!
Beijing has been an establishment of sheer quality consistency, a sure bet Chinese restaurant since I was of age of spending money on Chinese food & is still the case today when I consider eating Chinese food in Chinatown.
Service is always welcoming, food quality there is above Chinatown average which saddens me when I've heard their opening hours were shorter (they close earlier now).
Aside from that, we've often used them for take out & uber eats to great delight.
Long live Beijing!
Don't let the 4 stars fool you, this place deserves 5 stars. Truly so authentic, one of the best comfort Chinese food places in Montreal. The cooks in the back have been perfecting the food for decades, the service is warm & super quick, & the huge menu variety doesn't deplete the high quality of every dish. Excellent food, paired with truly exceptional service.
I've visited this place years ago with some family & I feel like the food quality has diminished substantially. We ordered general Tao & fried won tons & the meals were fairly bland. It is OK for a quick bite but there are better venues.
This is the best Chinese food restaurant in Montreal. The portions are great, & the food quality is outstanding. Everything is freshly made & piping hot as it hits the table. This place is so good we ate there twice. I recommend the General's Beef, General's chicken, & lemon chicken. Both of these dishes are stellar. This restaurant was located within walking distance from our hotel on St. Catherine St.

My wife & I love Beijing restaurant food; high quality & tasty Chinese food in china town. I love their Chicken Chow Mein, Beef & two kind mushrooms & salt & spicy Shrimp. However it should be noted that the decoration is very simple like other standard Chinese restaurants.
