Beijing stands as a long-established destination in Montreal's Chinatown, widely appreciated for its authentic Cantonese cuisine and warm, welcoming atmosphere. Many patrons highlight the freshness of the ingredients and the variety of the menu, with standout dishes like lobster, General Tao chicken, and various noodle options frequently receiving high praise. The restaurant is often noted for being a reliable spot for both casual dinners and large family gatherings, offering quick service and cozy, well-maintained surroundings. Ordered 3 dishes for carry out: wonton soup, beef & broccoli & fried rice. Couldn't finish a single one of them. The wonton's had sausage inside which I've never seen before, the skin sausage was hard & not very tasty. The fried rice tasted like old white rice that has been in the fridge for days & the beef & broccoli was drenched in oil. Terrible diner experience, would not recommend going there.
Overall a mediocre place because the food was a little strange. As a Chinese person, this definitely not authentic Chinese (especially Beijing) food. Serving size was on the smaller size. Sadly, would not come again. 2 stars because food is the most important, but service was alright.
Food: Flavour was either too strong or lacking: most dishes were too salty, too sour, or left a strange taste. Sour & spicy soup was not spicy but very sour.
Service: Very enthusiastic waiters with little wait. However, we had to organize the plates ourselves & the tip was automatically added to the bill.
Fast, Hot wok, Exellent food, more than 200 choices, they sell Wine, Tea pot included as soon as you arrive, I've bee a regulare client since...2010...Try the Hot & Soure soupe, won ton noudle soupe with anything else on the menue...hard to stop eating just because it's delicious.
Delicious chop suey won ton soup. Great ambience, very kind staff. Even the oolong tea they gave me before ordering was delicious. I will be returning!
From Florida where you can't find real Chinese food, at least in the Tampa area. Nothing but take out.
We found the Beijing restaurant because it was close to our hotel & thought we'd try it. We were pleased. Very good egg rolls & tasty wonton soup. We ordered a dinner for two which was easily enough for three, reasonably priced & all the dishes were pretty tasty. Yes, they could improve the decor a bit. LoL
Very good service, probably from the owner himself & he had a great personality.
Our family loves Beijing Restaurant! We eat here almost every time we are in town. We are vegetarian & there are plenty of options for us. My absolute favourite is the hot & sour soup. The vegetarian spring rolls are also delicious (they are gigantic & different from what you would normally get, but SO good). It's a staple for us!
Tout les plats commandés étaient délicieux ainsi que les soupes.
Service rapide. Grandes tables rondes avec plateaux roulants au centre.
Ils vendent de l'alcool.
En plein quartier chinois.
Métro Place d'armes.
