LebaneseGrillVegetarianSaladsBrunchResto-BarTasting Menu
BÁYRŪT is a modern Lebanese kitchen rooted in family, memory, and tradition. Inspired by the recipes of our mother Nunu and the food of our childhood, we serve dishes that honour the classics — creamy hummus made fresh daily, vibrant tabbouleh, and the rich earthiness of lentils and freekeh. Every plate tells a story, of the mountains of Lebanon, of meals passed hand to hand, and of the joy of feeding others with care. Whether you're here for a quick lunch or a slow, soulful dinner, we invite you to taste a legacy passed down through generations and reimagined for today.

Review Summary

Bayrut Restaurant is described as a warm, inviting gem in Montreal where authentic Lebanese cuisine is delivered with a home cooked touch. Reviewers consistently praise generous tasting menus, fresh pita with traditional butter, creamy hummus, vibrant fattoush, and a wide range of shareable dishes that feel like family cooking. The service and hospitality are highlighted as outstanding, with staff attentive, friendly, and clearly proud of the cooking, and many experiences include personal touches from the team. There are occasional critiques about price and portion size, and a few opinions that some dishes lean toward presentation over tradition, but the overall consensus is that the flavors are fresh, balanced, and comforting. Several notes mention house made butter, truffle hints in the hummus, Lebanese wines, and standout items like lamb, freekeh, grape leaves, and shish barak, reinforcing Bayrut as a destination for authentic flavors in a modern, cozy setting. Overall, the reviews describe a memorable, heartwarming dining experience with generous hospitality and quality food that many visitors say makes it worth returning for another tasting menu or a new dish.

Excellent restaurant & new discovery in Montreal! Apparently, they opened up just a few months ago, so kudos to the team! I took my lady there for Valentine's day & we took the tasting menu. The food was great: delicious flavours, generous quantities, all served in beautiful dishes to share. Every thing was authentic & well executed. I highly recommend!

Bayrut on William Street is a must. We went as two couples after hearing about it on social media & decided to try the full tasting menu: what a delight! Every plate captured the true essence of authentic Lebanese cuisine: perfectly cooked lamb, a colorful & fresh variety of salads, creamy hummus, & an exquisitely assembled dessert. Simple, flavorful, & done right. Highly, highly recommended.

Delicious, upscale Lebanese food! The tasting menu is very worth while & practically impossible to finish given the portion sizes. They also have Lebanese wines which is rare to find in Canada.

This new Lebanese restaurant is a must try. The food is amazing. The owner is amazing. The service was amazing. We did the tasting menu. I've never had so much food with a tasting menu. There was not one thing that wasn't delicious. The pictures I have is only from the first round & then we got so excited we kept eating & forgot to take pictures

Wonderful 1st experience at Bayrut restaurant! The food is delicious, filled with amazing fresh flavours, very well presented & the servings are generous. Every member of the staff is devoted & very nice. The Chef came to talk to us as I wanted to thank him for his dedicated work. The music is festive & the place is very clean. I highly recommend this restaurant & the tasting menu.

I love all the food here. We were only in Montreal 4 days & ate here 2 times. I only regret that we didn't try the tasting menu. You can see the chef takes so much pride in the food & that he cooks it with love.

We went for the tasting menu which is highly recommended. A lot of great appetizers but the stars were definitely the main dishes. We initially wanted to order the Mleheyee (lamb) but they had run out, & a new batch was going to take an hour or so. So we ordered the chicken Freekeh. To our surprise, they did manage to get us a small lamb plate for tasting & it was absolutely amazing! Overall a wonderful experience. Looking forward to trying your brunch!
